JYP Entertainment, the agency of the K-pop girl group TWICE, announced that charges and legal response against the authors and distributors of false information are already set.
On the 8th of June, the agency JYP Entertainment announced on its official website and social media accounts that they will be proceeding on taking legal actions against platforms and people who will be spreading misleading or wrong information about their artists.
According to JYP, "Recently, there have been cases of writing, dissemination, and spreading groundless false information about artists in certain communities."
In response to this, JYP added, "We will recognize the contents and secure evidence to file complaints and accusations against writers and distributors for spreading false facts, defamation and obstruction of business, and will continue to take legal action against the same cases and similar cases."
JYP Entertainment then warned everyone that the contents of the complaints and accusation are judged to be not only for its artists but as well as they will be taking the highest level of civil and criminal legal action, if possible, for defamation and obstruction of business, which includes the damage that it caused.

"Hello, I'm JYPE.
Recently, there have been continuous cases of writing, disseminating, and spreading groundless false information about artists in certain communities.
We have recognized the contents and secured evidence to file a complaint against the authors and distributors for spreading false information, defamation, and obstruction of business, and plan to continue legal action against the same and similar cases.
The charges and accusations are judged to be not only for artists but also for defamation and obstruction of business, so we are taking the highest level of civil and criminal legal action possible, including damage caused by them.
We have repeatedly informed you that we will proceed with all available legal actions against artists for their indiscriminate slander and dissemination of groundless false information. We continue to file complaints and accusations based on internal and external monitoring and fan reports.
Please be careful not to cause unnecessary damage due to these issues.

Recently, TWICE has been receiving hate comments from antis who were spreading false and malicious rumors, including their recent comeback album sales were antis claimed a chart manipulation. But this is not only limited to this issue but several malicious rumors about the members as well.
On the other hand, JYP Entertainment in January previously released as well a statement about taking legal action in protection to its other artist such as StrayKids, for the same reason of experiencing distribution of malicious rumors and negative comments in social media and online communities.
