Sunmi and her sibling struck up a conversation with TWICE's supporters on a YouTube channel, named mu:fully, about the negative remarks the members are suffering from, and how these negatively impact them.
A ONCE named Joo Sung raised his disappointment about the suffering of TWICE members' vile comments and sought advice from Sunmi.
"There was a moment when TWICE was having a tough time due to hurtful comments. Since fans do not fully comprehend how celebrities feel, when they endure insulting comments, we become extremely concerned," he said.
Sunmi responded by drawing on her own knowledge to express how the members must feel.
"Because of this, numerous girl bands have a pretty hard time. They are often not even real and it sometimes feels like online fantasy stories written by people who despise you," she said.
Sunmi went on, "There comes a point when offensive remarks become very difficult to bear. You don't get mad simply because you've seen one message. You continue to read, and hold back offensive remarks. I can assure you that, on thousands of occasions, TWICE kept it until fans saw what it was they were feeling."
Sunmi decided to add that she often monitors TWICE whenever they come back with a new release, and addressed why she was really captivated by their MV for "Feel Special."
"Within the MV they looked so sophisticated, especially when Jihyo came out and sang, 'Even if the world pushes me down,' I bet the fans really felt comfortable given the song lyrics and the emotions being involved in the music," Sunmi added.
