SEVENTEEN's Hoshi proved that he is the best son his father could ever have.
It was an emotional moment for Hoshi's father as his son has proven that he is a good son and a family member. The K-pop idol appeared on the program "Radio Star," wherein he opened up about his childhood experience, causing his dad to shed tears. He was talking about the home that they lived in when he was young.
Hoshi began recounting the story about a house where they resided as a child when his father's business was still prospering. However, they moved out when the business didn't do well.
"There is an abode that we lived before when I was a young boy - it was then when my dad was financially doing well. However, his business didn't continue to progress, so we eventually had to move," Hoshi explained.
It was a heartbreaking moment for the entire family to leave, but he decided to do something for them later on. What he did was, after debuting in now one of the most successful K-pop groups, SEVENTEEN.
"But I purchased it back for him (dad)," he later said.
The hosts of the show lauded him for such an accomplishment. Although he could have bought a new and stylish house, he was sincere to his dad as it had sentimental value for him.
Then, he and his mother spotted his teary-eyed dad through the reflection of the window, which he thought that he might have been so touched to live in their old house once again.
Hoshi also admitted that it's a special gift for his parents, and for him, it is a place where they formed good memories that he cherishes in his life.
"I had great memories from that home. I totally liked to move back and live there again," he explained.
Aside from that, Hoshi seems to like to spoil his mom and sister. He honestly revealed a special gift for the two. He said that these two women in his life wanted to have bigger eyes, so he paid for their double eyelid surgery.
"I believe my mom and sister loved to get their eyes to get bigger," he adorably mentioned.
Hoshi, or Kwon Soonyoung in real life, is a 23-year old K-pop idol that debuted in SEVENTEEN. He was originally from Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. One of the fun facts about him is that his mother told him to date when he is done studying college. He speaks Japanese fluently and is a black belter in Taekwondo.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN recently dropped their successful comeback album "Heng:garae," with the title track "Left & Right." The song is currently a trending challenge on TikTok and other social media platforms and has been covered by other Korean personalities.
