ATEEZ's Mingi Shares His Most Hilarious And Embarassing Stage Accident
Every participant of ATEEZ's Online ATINY Party: Crescent opens up their humiliating pre and post debut appearances. Mingi disclosed that this occurred less than a year ago when his diary entry was shown. He read the entry aloud howling with laughter to relieve his humiliation over the situation. Then, he stopped for a moment to yell his frustration midway as he shared his story.
"Mingi's mic. What an ideal timing. Your wrist has sufficient capacity. Special moves I've wielded tens of times. Still, why, then? The mic was getting out of my hand. I sound like I'm going to sit up late." The majority of the members instinctively understood what he'd been pointing to as soon as he's done reading.
"It was at Music Bank," San stated, "It was the stage in 'Horizon,' correct?" Mingi could not remain seated, still disturbed by the error. San could grasp why. He supported Mingi, "Flipping a microphone is a technique that co-members absolutely like. We've been practicing it a lot but making a mistake is still quite easy." He is not the only one who agreed.
Hongjoong also said, showing how he had always felt confident with Mingi skills, but not that much on his own whenever it comes to micro-flipping:
"Personally, I did it many times. I've been doing this on the 'Answer' stages. Yet, through time, I was anxious. I've never questioned Mingi for making an error in 'Horizon' since even at KCON as well as other major stages, he did well."
"But during 'Horizon' I was shocked at how all of a sudden, something was flying across the stage and Mingi can openly dance with both hands. I knew then that was something off," he continued.
Mingi sought to turn the actual mic drop into a pleasant scenario, thinking how funny it might've been for the fans. However, the stern expression he made said otherwise. "I've done it right on the main stage. I think it was very funny for ATINY. I knew I made an error. But, I'm so glad fans laughed at me."
Wooyoung wasn't that confident, saying, "So, are you all right?" Hongjoong has also asked Mingi to talk about it frankly, "please do tell us clearly. Could we just laugh about the video?" Mingi didn't hold back, making people laugh. Placing the mistake behind him on stage.
He revealed, "I sincerely want to take down the video." Also, he and Hongjoong suggested that ATINY should watch their performance of "Very Good" in BLOCK B where Mingi efficiently flipped the mic to replace the embarassing memory.
