SONEs (also known as fans of Girls' Generation) are under the impression that the group is gearing for a comeback and are living small hints for their fans. Here are some of the reasons why fans think the girls could be releasing music together soon.

To start, SM Entertainment changed the profile pictures on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to the Oh!GG icon. On top of that, they changed the header on Facebook and Twitter to just say "Girls' Generation".

The members were also seen all sporting black hairs. Fans believe that the uniformed hair change indicates a comeback must be in the works.

The members have also been seen using black and white hearts in the captions of the social media posts. Fans have noted that the new icons and headers of the Girls' Generation are black and white, with many wondering if it's a hint towards a new concept.

Some members also posted photos of them wearing all-black clothing.

It's also noted that all the members of Girls' Generation are in Korea. Even Tiffany, who had been promoting in America after leaving SM Entertainment.

Member Yuri was seen 'heart' reacting comments about Girls' Generation having a comeback on her personal YouTube channel, which has led many to be hopeful on all eight girls reuniting.

Taeyeon and Yuri were both also seen rocking mint colored clothing and filters, which has fans wondering if it's another hint about music releases.

Lastly, the director of "Girls for Rest" and "Channel SNSD" has been posting Instagram stories of the girls. Notably, he has been sharing lots of photos with member Tiffany, which has led some to speculate if she is working on a new show in Korea. Perhaps a show with the members before their comeback?

Girls' Generation debuted in 2007 under SM Entertainment. They are considered prominent figures in the Hallyu wave and have earned the nickname "The Nation's Girl Group." Their song, "Gee," was MelOn's most popular song of the 2000s.

Their second Korean studio album, "Oh!," won the Golden Disc Award for Album of Year, making the group the only female act to win the award. They have ventured into the Japanese music scene and into the American market. The group has two sub-units: Girls' Generation-TTS and Oh!GG.

The group currently consists of Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. Former member Jessica left the group in 2014 due to conflicts between her and the group's schedules.

In 2017, members Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun decided not to renew their contracts with SM Entertainment, though they are still members of the group.
