These trainees were once considered SM Entertainment's newest golden talents, but they sadly left the company before they could make their debut with an SM Entertainment group.
1. Koeun
Koeun was introduced as a member of SM Rookies in July 8, 2015. She trained wih the company for 10 years and was part of the line-up of Red Velvet, but ultimately did not make her debut with the group. She is seen in Red Velvet's "Happiness" music video alongside fellow SM Rookies members Lami, Hina, and Yeri. The former would end up being added to Red Velvet's line-up. She also appeared on Super Junior Yesung's "Paper Umbrella" with Jungwoo, who is now part of NCT U and NCT 127,
She left the company in February 2020, with SM Entertainment removing her from the SM Rookies Naver page. There were rumors that she was looking for a part-time job following her departure from the company, but it hasn't been verified.
2. Lami
Lami was introduced as a member of SM Rookies in December 10, 2013. She was previously a child actor. At one point, she was the youngest trainee in SM Entertainment. She appeared on the Disney Channel Show "Mickey Mouse Club" with other trainees. She, along with Lami, were expected to make their debut in the upcoming SM Entertainment girl group, but left before they had the chance. Netizens had hoped she would debut as the visual and maknae.
She left the company in February 2020 and was also removed from the SM Rookies Naver page.
3. Hansol
Hansol was introduced as a member of SM Rookies in December 16, 2013. Many fans had expected him to making his debut with NCT, as he had appeared in the first NCT life, was in variety shows with the other members, and was even teased to the audience as a member. However, he did not make his debut with NCT and ended up leaving SM Entertainment in 2017.
Hansol signed with J.Flo Entertainment that same year and appeared on the KBS's survival show "The Unit," where he ranked 6th. He debuted with the project group UNB until its disbandment. In 2019, he debuted with New Kidd.
4. Herin
Herin was introduced as a member of SM Rookies in July 8, 2015 and had appeared in Red Velvet's music video for "Happiness". While she was a trainee, she appeared on the Disney Channel show "Mickey Mouse Club" with other trainees. She left SM Entertainment in 2017 and appeared on Mnet's "Idol School." She was eliminated in the 10th episode and ranked 22nd.
She was born in Manchester, United Kingdom and has returned to there to live with her family and study there. She has a YouTube channel called "bonjavenue" where she would upload vlogs. Herin is also active on her Instagram account, "bonjavenue", in which she uploads photos of herself, her friends, her family, and lifestyle. She also responds to fans occasionally through Instagram story.
She is still close friends with Red Velvet's Yeri and were spotted hanging out when the idol visited London.
