JYP Entertainment announced on TWICE's official social media accounts on the 6th that Jeongyeon will participate in the online concert "Beyond Live-Twice: World in a Day." However, she will be sitting on a chair due to her health condition.
The TWICE member is reportedly unable to dance due to her health, but she expressed her strong will to participate in the show even if she is only seated. An agency official explained that the TWICE member decided to take part instead of sitting out the concert because she wanted to see her fans.
"We ask for your understanding that we made this decision based on the member's own desire to meet fans after a long time despite difficult situations," the official said.
TWICE will meet their global fans through the online concert, "Beyond Live Twice: World in a Day," on August 9. Under the concept of "World Tour in a Day," the concert will feature some of TWICE's hit songs in AR graphics, which will make it more lively. Also, they are planning to have interactive communication between the nine members and the fans, so it is expected that the fans will have a great time with the group.
Earlier in July, TWICE Jeongyeon appeared on a live streaming to give her piece with regards to an unreleased fancam on SBS Inkigayo and Mnet MCountdown. this sparked rumors online, with fans considering it as mistreatment towards the K-pop idol. Then, she explained that she had been in pain due to her neck condition, or herniated disk, while filming their comeback video.
She revealed that she asked the broadcasting companies, with the permission of JYP Entertainment, not to allow the release of her fancams as she did not want to worry her fans. She reassured them that she was getting better and was on her way to recovery.
Meanwhile, aside from the success of their recent album, MORE & MORE, that topped various music charts, the girl group is now about to have another comeback this fall! JYP Entertainment also confirmed it on August 5, saying that TWICE is now working on a new album, but further details are still kept under wraps.
It became a huge discussion among various platforms that industry insiders gave hints about TWICE's comeback in October, which is only be about four months of interval from their current comeback. They are also possibly the first group hit such achievement in the K-pop scene.
Well, let's all eagerly wait for October to find out!
