Former Stray Kids' member Woojin has been accused of sexual harassment. Since the controversy started, Woojin has released a statement to his personal social media account, in which he claims he found a new company. The supposed company, 10X Entertainment, then released a statement to their newly opened social media accounts, claiming they will be taking legal action against those who spread malicious rumors. K-pop fans, however, question the legitimacy of the company.
After much research, fans could not find any information concerning an agency with the name 10X Entertainment. What they did find, however, it a DJ duo based in Chicago with the same name. As 10X Entertainment was dragged into the controversy for being the name of the company, the DJ duo took to Facebook to clarify they are not affiliated with Kim Woojin in any way.
Fans also found that the logo of the company is actually from a furniture store. A quick reverse image search of the logo shows that it's the logo of Hanford Design, a furniture store that can be found in Recoleta, Buenos Aires, and Argentina.
TikTok user @guccithighs, also known as Keisha, compiled more proof that the entertainment company is fake. The first point that they addressed is how the website of the entertainment company liked to Notion, a note-taking application. He was also found deleting comments from people who were not supportive of him or commented, asking him to confess.
She also spotted that in the statement released by the company, they first started addressing Woojin as "the artist." Towards the end, however, they started using first-person pronouns such as "I" and "you." She also mentions the logo coming from a furniture store.
She also points out how all of the social media accounts are newly opened. "I have more followers on one of my accounts than his entertainment company," she says.
She asks fans to keep talking about the issue, as a fake company will not be able to take legal action.
Fans also note that there has been a rise in anonymous accounts, with a large number of them claiming to be Woojin's friend and defending him from the allegations. However, fans have suspected that these accounts are either made by Woojin himself or by fans trying to defend him.
On September 7, a Twitter user claimed Woojin had sexually assaulted people at bars, using his fame as a former member of Stray Kids to try and impress them. If they were to reject him, he would allegedly get hostile. Another Twitter user shared her experience with Woojin, saying he had grabbed both her and her friend's butts and refused to back off even after being told they had boyfriends.
Since then, Woojin has released a statement claiming that the rumors were false. Fans took issue with the message, however, as they spotted numerous red flags, such as promoting his upcoming solo debut and claiming they never met the Twitter user. Still, the identity of the poster was never revealed.
