f(x) Krystal Has Officially Parted Ways With SM Entertainment + Signs With New Company

On October 12, Monday, at 9 AM KST, it was officially announced that f(x)'s Krystal has parted ways with SM Entertainment and has signed with newly establish actors' agency H& Entertainment.

Krystal Jung's contract with SM Entertainment has recently ended. Following months of speculations that Krystal has left SM Entertainment, it has officially been announced by H& Entertainment through a statement that they have welcomed the idol-actress to their agency.

"We are happy to form this relationship with Jung Soojung, a dynamic artist who is looking for a change and a new leap forward.

We will work our hardest to support Jung Soojung, who made her debut as an idol and has amassed global popularity. She has since established herself as an actress, and we will make sure to work hard in order to help her show an even better performance as an actress, and support her various promotions."

The company, H& Entertainment, was founded by Hong Min Ki, KeyEast's former vice president. Since its establishment, a number of artists have been added to the artist roster, including former KeyEast actresses and actors. Famous names under H& Entertainment include Son Dambi, Jung Ryeo Won, In Gyo Jin, So Yi Hyun, and Kwak Dong Yeon.

Krystal is set to make her comeback as an actress with the OCN drama "Search", which will begin airing on October 17. It was recently confirmed that she will be staring in the film "More Than Family", which will hit theatres in November.

Krystal was scouted by SM Entertainment in 2000. As she was too young at the time, she waited six years before being allowed by her parents to train under the company. In 2006, Krystal signed under SM Entertainment and after three years of training, she debuted with f(x) in 2009. In July 2010, Krystal debuted as an actress with a minor role in the sitcom "More Charming by the Day".

She has become internationally famous as an idol thanks to her work with f(x). She is also an actress known for her roles in dramas such as "The Heirs" (2013), "My Lovely Girl" (2017), "The Bride of Habaek" (2017), and "The Player" (2018).
