Super Junior member Heechul took to his Instagram Stories to slam a hater who was sending malicious direct messages to him.
On October 24, Saturday, Heechul shared a screenshot from one user who was flooding his Instagram direct messages with hurtful, malicious images. He accuses Heechul of flexing, being selfish, and tells him to kill himself.
The messages read:
"Why are you reposting that you are eating Korean beef after four days? Is it because you want to flex that you're so rich that you can eat Korean beef alone? F*ck. Kill yourself. You should end this selfishness by killing yourself. Kill yourself, please. Fans save their public transportation fares to buy your albums and here you are showing off that you're f*cking eating Korean beef. You never even think about giving back to your fans. What are you even good at when all you have is a f*cking pretty face? You're a f*cking b*st*rd."
Heechul only had one simple reply: "Well, I am not going to kill myself." Heechul also gave the hater the courtesy of cropping out their username. Because of that, fans cannot track down who the hater is.
Fans could not help but express shock over the severity of the hate messages, calling the person who sent the message crazy. People also commented on how Heechul does not deserve to receive such hateful messages.
Netizens' comments read:
"What is this? Poor Kim Heechul..."
"I am curious to know who this person is."
"I wish we could block Instagram DMs."
"There are so many crazy people in the world."
"What the hell are they saying? Do not buy albums if you do not have the money for shipping."
"Your mental illness is severe, you need to get yourself checked at the hospital."
"I am curious about how people like this live in real life."
"Wow, you are seriously a psychopath. Is this the type of person who is able to live a normal social life? So scary."
"Celebrities must have really good mental management. If I keep getting DMs like that, I think I might actually kill myself."
"Why do people pretend to be fans? Do not touch Heechul."
Back in July, it was announced that Heechul had hired six lawyers to pursue legal action against malicious comments. He announced the news on Instagram, saying that malicious comments will be handled by his lawyers and investigators from the Gangnam police station. He informed fans that they will be catching all those who post malicious comments against him.
Though Heechul is well-loved for his honest and bubbly personality, he has been the victim of hate on social media, with numerous netizens flooding his accounts with hateful comments. However, since his announcement of legal action, comments of said nature have decreased. It appears, however, that not all are deterred.
Though it was not announced if Heechul will be taking legal measures against the hater he responded to, it is highly likely it will be done.
