SF9's Youngbin is believed to have joined the cast of an upcoming web drama.

Even though the artist's agency or drama producer has not yet confirmed that the male idol would be part of a new television show, shots of the SF9 member while at the drama script reading session were leaked online.

Before the photos were uploaded online, Youngbin shared with the fans that he was doing a secret project, which he couldn't reveal for now, but he said that he needed his fans to boost his confidence and that his schedule would probably be announced soon.

SF9's Youngbin's role in the web drama is still unknown, but it is rumored that the television series would be titled 'Bubble Up.' The singer could either have a cameo or is one of the main characters. In addition, in the pic posted online, Nature's Kim So Hee was also present during the script reading session, so it seems like she would be joining the male artist in the said drama.

If rumors turned out to be true, Youngbin would be the fifth SF9 member to have an acting role, following Rowoon, Hwiyoung, Chani, and Inseong. Also, this would be his second time to be part of a web drama. In 2016, Youngbin was cast as one of the supporting roles in 'Click Your Heart,' while his fellow SF9 members, Zuho, Rowoon, Chani, Dawon, were among the main characters former AOA member Mina.

Youngbin is the leader of the nine-member male group SF9, which is signed under FNC Entertainment along with K-Pop groups and artists like CNBLUE, F.T. Island, N. Flying, Jung Haein, Lee Donggun, and Park Gwanghyun. He is also the lead rapper and lead dancer of the group.

Ahead of the boy band's debut, the members participated in FNC Entertainment's survival show called 'Dance of Band (d.o.b) in 2016. They competed as a group called 'NEOZ Dance' against another group named 'NEOZ Band.' In the finale of the competition, NEOZ Dance won the track titled 'K.O.' which was later included in the group's single album 'Feeling Sensation.'

Right after NEOZ Dance took the victory, the group was renamed SF9, and they debuted with the aforementioned single album with the lead single 'Fanfare' on October 5, 2016. The album debuted at No. 8 on Gaon Album Chart and later peaked at No. 6. That same year, SF9 launched a music video of the track 'So Beautiful' on December 22 as a gift to their fans. The song was initially the original soundtrack of 'Click Your Heart.'

On January 7, 2020, SF9 released their first Korean studio album titled 'First Collection,' which includes its lead single 'Good Guy.' Thanks to 'Good Guy,' SF9 took home their first-ever music show trophy in M Countdown on January 16 and won their second trophy on Music Bank the following day.

On July 6, SF9's eighth extended play '9loryUS' was out along with its lead track 'Summer Breeze.' Then, on October 5, SF9 released a special album entitled 'Special History Book' October 5 to celebrate their fourth anniversary of debut. It consists of three songs, including the lead single 'Shine Together.'
