On Friday, the world-renowned group BTS was hailed as the "Best Group" by the U.S. Billboard's year-end chart.
In particular, the music media outlet released its "Year-end Charts" and numerous K-pol idol indeed dominated the list, such as BTS, EXO, NCT 127, SEVENTEEN, TXT, ATEEZ, and BLACKPINK.
The seven-membered group topped a total of seven categories, including "Top Artist Duo/Group," "Billboard 200 Artist Duo/Group," "Digital Song Sales Artist," "Social 50 Artist," "World Album Artist," "World Album" and "Digital Song Sales," drawing interest from music fans around the world.

Aside from the honors that BTS received from the year-end chart of the Billboard for this year, the idol group made a new history this 2020 as well in the platform, for being the first Korean singer to top the main single chart Billboard's "Hot 100."
In addition to this, BTS also earned the third spot in "Hot 100 Artist Duo/Group," second place in "Top Sales Artist," second place in "Independent Artist," 18th place in "Billboard 200 Artist" and 42nd place in "Hot 100" Artist.
Meanwhile, Billboard said, "For the first time on the 2020 year-end chart, BTS topped the 'Top Artist duo/Group' list."
They added, "The group BTS set a new record again, topping the Billboard "Social 50" chart for the most weeks. They have been at the top of the charts every week since July 29, 2017."

Those who are continuing their unique record in pop music history also stood out on Billboard's 2020 year-end charts.
NCT 127's second full-length album "NCT #127 Neo Zone" entered Billboard 200 in which they gained their first top 10 and top five, proving the public interest of and the rising popularity of NCT in the US.
In addition, NCT 127 recorded TOP20 on 8 Billboard charts, including second place in "World Album Artist," third place in "World Albums" and in "Social 50" chart. In addition to this, the sub-unit also ranked 13th place in "Top Album Sales," 13th place in "Top Current Album Sales," 14th place in "Test Makers Album" and 20th place in "Independent Album," charts.
As for the year-end social 50 this year, few top K-pop groups entered the list such as EXO who secure their spot at No. 2, amidst hiatus and lack of group promotions in 2020.
NCT 127 then comes at No. 3, followed by SEVENTEEN at No. 5 while TXT, ATEEZ, and BLACKPINK also entered the top 10 rankings 7th place, 8th place, 9th place, respectively.
Billboard's annual year-end charts rank the most popular albums, songs and artists in each category throughout the year. The year-end charts of 2020 were ranked by adding up the results of various charts from November 23, 2019 to November 14, this year.
