UNIVERSE Pre-Registrations Surpasses 1 Million Mark

Gearing up to be the next big thing in K-Pop fandom, the upcoming platform UNIVERSE has already received more than one million pre-booking registrations.

NCSoft and Klap's new service for artist and fandom interaction has unveiled its lineup of K-Pop artists ahead of its launch, with each artist having their own "Planet" in this new and exciting UNIVERSE. Kang Daniel, The Boyz, MONSTA X, CIX, Park Ji-hoon, (G)I-DLE, WJSN, and more will be joining the service - promising entirely new content and ways to interact with their respective fanbases.

The UNIVERSE has been accepting advanced registrations since November 12, with K-Pop fans from more than 186 countries - including South Korea, the United States, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, and Indonesia - eagerly reserving their slots to be a part of this upcoming experience. UNIVERSE is expected to hit markets around the world by early 2021.

As a surprise to fans who have successfully pre-registered, details for their special rewards will be formally announced on December 16.

"As the teams that lead K-POP meet on 'Universe', we will present a new K-POP entertainment platform to global fans in 186 countries around the world, including the United States, Japan, Taiwan and Indonesia as well as Korea," said NCSoft head Kim Jung-ha.

UNIVERSE is set to be the largest global entertainment platform, offering both online and offline activities for K-Pop activities for fans worldwide. It has initially announced its services to 134 countries, available in three languages: Korean, Japanese, and English.

Among the exciting features revealed to be a part of this new platform are "Studio" and "Collection." With "Studio," fans can style up the animated 3D avatars of their favorite idols. Additionally, they can also create and record their own music video with these avatars - with the likeness and the animation provided by the idols themselves!

In "Collection," each artist's respective fanbase can organize their own activities and archive them for later use, with their efforts met with in-app rewards. UNIVERSE has also proudly announced the use of NCSoft's latest audio technology to allow fans to listen to AI-generated voices that sound like their favorite K-Pop stars. This is made possible with NCSoft's speech synthesis technology that utilizes actual voice recording from the artists themselves.
