BTS Stuns With Impressive Three-Song Performance at '2020 KBS Gayo Daechukje'

The "2020 KBS Gayo Daechukje" was recently held, and BTS unsurprisingly took everyone's breath away with their performances. Keep on reading for all the details.

BTS was the last performer before the music festival's ending stage, and they did not disappoint. An intro played a little kid turning on his television set and jamming out to "Dynamite to introduce the boys." Soon, a news clip of BTS appears, talking about how BTS became the first Korean act to top the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

It then travels back in time, from 2020 to 2015. 2015 was a huge moment in BTS's careers. It is considered their breakthrough into the mainstream South Korean market, and is also the year BTS won their first-even music show win for "I NEED U". A clip of their first win plays, and fans are reminded of BS's humble rise to fame. Before they perform, the words "The past made me who I am today".

BTS then performs their 2015 hit song "I NEED U". The stage has brought nostalgia for fans who have been with BTS since the beginning. Despite the song being five years old, BTS shows the same passion as they did when they first performed the song. "I NEED U" has a special place in BTS and ARMYs hearts; it seems after they promoted that song, BTS started their rise to stardom.

The stage itself was simple. A white staircase is seen leading up to BTS's logo, and the boys are seen dressing in simple white long-sleeved button-ups and black slacks.

The next song they performed was their number one hit single, "Dynamite". To introduce the song, member RM is seen against a black background with a spotlight on him. He then says, "We walk slow with music, walk side by side with pain, but without fear." As he speaks, the words appear behind him. After he is done speaking, he disappears and we hear Jungkook's iconic vocals at the chorus of the song.

The black background rises and we are greeted with Jungkook in a dapper suit. The background is adorned with retro-themed buildings. Soon, the other members of BTS appear on stage to perform along with Jungkook, and the members stun their synchronized choreography and their navy and brown suits. In the end, the camera pans up to the ceiling, and footage of a plane flying through is seen.

The last song BTS performed is their most recent title track, "Life Goes On" from their album "Be". For the intro of the song, the kid from BTS's intro for "I NEED U" is seen again. In this intro, the boy is seen just enjoying his time indoors, finding numerous ways to keep himself entertained despite being alone inside.

The stage for "Life Goes On" is probably the most theatrical out of BTS's three performances. As soon as their performance begins, we are greeted by a door lit by red neon lights. Jungkook enters through that door and sings his part, taking a seat on the stairs.

Jimin is seen at the bottom of the stairs, with his room being lit up by blue lighting. He is alone as he sings in what appears to be a living room, with a chair and a plant seen behind him. Soon, Jimin's lights dim and the stage focuses on RM. He is seen in what also appears to be a living room. His room is illuminated by white lights and the rapper is seen resting on a chair.

RM then moves over to where Jimin was, but the former is no longer there. Instead, V is seen sitting on a chair calmly as he sings his parts. Soon, Jin shows himself by entering through the side stairs, while J-Hope enters by coming out from RM's room.

We get a clearer view of the set when the members gather at the front. They are actually in a home, all together yet apart. When they come together, they sing calmly, all in white suits, about how "Life Goes On" despite the new normal. Confetti falls on them as they sing.

BTS never fails to show off their amazing stages, always boasting a unique experience every time they perform. What did you think of their performances?
