NCT is known for its many members and packed with talented dancers, but the boy group's choreographer mentions a few names who he sees as artists with a higher level of dancing skills, for short the best dancers.
In the most recent video uploaded by YouTuber Cha Hyun Seung on his channel, NCT's choreographer, Ryu.D was the guest for that day. He talked about working with NCT, which currently consists of 23 members, as he answered several questions sent by fans.
One of the first questions was when he started working with NCT. The choreographer shared that he began teaching the members of the boy group five years ago since they were just trainees. In particular, he first worked with NCT's sub-unit WayV for their debut song, which is "Regular" - the lead single of the unit's digital extended play titled "The Vision."
Ryu.D went on to reveal that he also worked on the choreography of NCT's "Resonance," which is the boy band's latest release. He said that it took them more than two days to create the formations that are made up of 23 members. The choreographer unveiled that he used plastic cups to make the arrangement, ensuring all of the boys are included.
He further confessed that making the choreography and formations was very hard since NCT's "Resonance" is a mix of the group's songs: "Make a Wish," "90's Love," "Work It," and "Raise the Roof" - all are from NCT's second full album "NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 2."
At one point, Ryu.D was asked who among the members is the fastest to memorize the choreography. He answered that each member is fast at learning the moves. He then mentioned NCT's Mark who is one of the band's best dancers. He shared, "You'll realize it if you watch the solo part of Mark in 'Kick It.' He filled the whole stage by himself at MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards). Mark did the choreography better than me, the choreographer."
Ryu.D later on selected the three members who, for him, are extremely gifted in dancing. "So Mark, Ten, and Taeyong. These three are at a higher level, skill-wise," he stated. He also said that the other members are good at dancing, and all the members are fast to learn the dance moves. "There's no one who falls behind when they memorize the choreography," he added.
NCT, which stands for SM Entertainment's Hallyu localization project "Neo Culture Technology," is known for having a number of members, with additional boys being included in the team from time to time. The boy band is also recognized for its four sub-units: NCT Dream, NCT U, NCT 127, and WayV.
