The Golden Disc Awards, one of the most prestigious music awards in South Korea, has found its exclusive live streaming partner in North and Latin America for its 35th incarnation with LIVECON.tv.
First held in 1986, the Golden Disc Awards was founded with the goal of promoting creativity, discovering new talents, and ultimately promote the growth of their own music industry. It has grown to become one of the largest music events in the country. It was originally launched as the Korea Visual and Records Grand Prize until 2001, when it changed to the Golden Disc Awards.
Including popular groups and artists of K-Pop and trot music, the 35th Golden Disc Awards will feature appearances from (G)I-DLE, BTS, CHANGMO, ENHYPEN, GOT7, ITZY, IU, J.Y. Park, Jessi, LA POEM, Lee Seung Gi, Lim Young Woong, LOONA, MAMAMOO, MONSTA X, NCT127, Noel, NU'EST, OH MY GIRL, Park Ji Chan, RAIN, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, THE BOYZ, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, TREASURE, and TWICE.
Because of the global coronavirus pandemic, organizers of the event have opted to host this year's event without a live audience. The 35th Golden Disc Awards will be broadcasted on January 9 and 10 KST, through JTBC in South Korea and in the U+IDOL LIVE online.
For fans in North and Latin America, LIVECON.tv will exclusively broadcast the event via pay-per-view with English subtitles provided. The official broadcast provider, global live streaming and video on demand (VOD) platform have also provided the recent 2020 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS (TMA) live streaming service for the fans in the same region.
Tickets are available at the LIVECON.tv website: a "2 DAY Stream" is available at 5.99 USD and a "2 DAY Steam + VOD" can be purchased online for 9.99 USD.
