BTS, SEVENTEEN, GFriend, NU'EST, TXT, and ENHYPEN truly dominated Gaon's "Top 100 Albums" as their 22 overall albums that reigned the chart holds 37% cumulative sales of the top 100 albums!
On Jan. 13, various Korean media outlets including Sports DongA announced the overwhelming and major results from Gaon Charts that Big Hit Label's artists achieved.
In particular, BTS, SEVENTEEN, GFriend, NU'EST, TXT, and ENHYPEN recorded a total of 22 albums in the Gaon Chart (2020 Annual Album Chart) released recently.
This record is truly praiseworthy, as they also dominated the charts -- holding 37% total sales of the top 100 albums with their 22 albums.

With just BTS alone, the worldwide superstars already sold nearly 10 million sales, sweeping the top and second spots. Prominent SEVENTEEN also ranked third and sixth places with their two 2020 albums that made them a "double million-seller" group. In addition to this, GFriend entered the Top 100, while the senior group NU'EST placed on Top .
Meanwhile, the two rookies TXT and ENHYPEN proved that they are the leading fourth-gen groups as well, ranking the on Top 30.
13 BTS Albums Entered "Top 100 Albums" of Gaon Charts
Expectedly, the success of BTS releases last year secured their spot at No. 1 with their fourth full-length album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7," which recorded 4,376,975 cumulative annual sales. This marks the fifth consecutive year that BTS has topped the Gaon Chart's annual album chart.
The seven-member group's "BE (Deluxe Edition)" also did impressively in the music market, trailing behind "MAP OF THE SOUL:7" with 2,692,022 cumulative sales.
In total, BTS secured a total of 13 albums on the top 100 of Gaon Chart's "2020 Annual Albums Chart which includes "Skool Luv Affair Special Addition"(No.10), "MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA" (No. 45), "LOVE YOURSELF 結 Answer" (No. 49) and more. With these, they recorded 9,047,785 album copies.
SEVENTEEN Achieved the "Double Million-Seller" Record
While BTS claimed the No.1 and 2 spots, SEVENTEEN also proved their power with their self-produced tracks in their albums as they entered the chart at No. 3, their highest rank.
The group's two Korean albums released last year indeed earned them their new title. In particular, the group's seventh mini-album, "Hengarae" and special album, "Semicolon" recorded cumulative sales of 1,377,813 and 1,122,850 copies, respectively, giving them the title "double million-seller."
NU'EST also contributed to the big hit label's performance. Their eighth mini-album "The Nocturne" ranked 46th in the annual sales list.
GFriend, the only girl group from the label, performed brilliantly last year by releasing three albums. Two of them ranked on the chart, including "Song of the Sirens" and LABYRINTH," which ranked in the 92nd and 100th places, respectively.
TXT and ENHYPEN Give off "Monster Rookie" Energy
The youngest group of Big Hit labels also showed their performance. TXT ranked 19th with 476,596 cumulative sales with its third mini-album "minisode1: Blue Hour," while its second mini-album "The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY" ranked 28th. They recorded the highest sales volume of their albums among the debut groups in 2019, which ranked within the top 100 on the chart.
Belift's group ENHYPEN also did well with their debut album "BORDER: DAY ONE" which was ranked 24th with 379,992 copies sold. This is the highest sales volume of the group's single album, (based on a single album), which debuted in 2020.
