GOT7 Pens Heartfelt Letter for iGOT7 as Their Time Together in JYPE Officially Ends

GOT7 officially leaves JYP Entertainment, and all the members expressed their sincerest feelings for their fans iGOT7 through a handwritten letter full of their emotions.

On Jan. 19, the septet shared a handwritten letter on their Instagram, with sentences that they all wrote, gathered, and comprised in one letter.

In the letter, they announced, "We ended up supporting each other's future with JYP, who made it together and did our best until the end, without re-signing."

Prior to the expiration of contracts of the GOT7 members, JYP Entertainment announced that after having an in-depth discussion with the seven members, both sides agreed not to proceed with the re-signing of the contract, and chose to depart from the agency giant after seven years.

GOT7 for iGOT7: The Members Upload a Letter for Their Fans

GOT7, comprising of JB, Mark Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom, simultaneously posted their handwritten letter for Ahgases, also known as iGOT7, containing their words of affirmation and gratitude.

Here's the rough translation:

In the letter, GOT7 thanked the fans for supporting them, and though the members can't exactly put up the words that their hearts currently feel, they affirmed and consoled iGOT7 that they will not be left behind in the past but will be put towards the future.

The group also stated that though they might not be seeing each other fro the meantime as a whole, the possibility of coming back together remains vivid and true.

As they concluded the letter, GOT7 also promised to surely comeback with different colors, finally saying, "Love you iGOT7."

GOT7 Officially Leaves JYPE + Future Plans as Solo Artists and Group

On the other hand, GOT7 who finally ended their contract under JYP Entertainment has their final bow through the "Golden Disc Award" 2020 taking home an award for "Best Album" (Bonsang).

Along with their meaningful win, music fans are also happy that though GOT7 will part ways with JYPE, their former agency will still let them use the group name "GOT7," fully giving them the copyright, which also means that they can still promote under K-pop band GOT7.

As for the plans of the septet after leaving JYPE, Jackson confirmed that his own label Team Wang will be managing his future global promotions.

Though he is the first and only member to share plans after leaving JYPE, rumors say that Jinyoung and Yugyeom will sign with BH Entertainment and Jay Park's label, AOMG, respectively.

As for Yugyeom, he is in-discussion with Sublime Entertainment, while JB is reportedly being contacted by various agencies.

As for the other foreign members, BamBam is rumored to sign with MAKEUS Entertainment, while Mark, though there's no confirmation yet, is reported to go back to the U.S. to spend time with his family and open his own streaming channel.

GOT7, which debuted in 2014, was loved so much by for their hit songs such as "Just Right," "Girls Girls Girls" "If You Do," "Hard Carry," "You Calling My Name," and "Not By The Moon." Given that all the seven of them are multifaceted, who can dominate other fields such as acting, hosting, music producing, and so much more, it will never come as a surprise that they thrive in their solo endeavors.
