On the 22nd broadcast of KBS2's "All Year Live," the 20 "stars who have changed their lives in an instant" ranking was released.
In the list, numerous star-studded actors and actresses entered the list, along with prominent K-pop stars including Hwasa, Hyeri, and EXID.
In particular, the personalities who are in the ranking are stars who unexpectedly had their heydays years after their debut. Due to a fortunate event or release, their popularity suddenly skyrocketed, turning the table in an instant.
Hwasa, Hyeri, and EXID: Why are They Included in the List?
Among the top 20, three K-pop stars were included, and one of them is Hwasa, who ranked 13th place.
Hwasa is currently one of the top-tier K-pop idols and celebrities who's taking over both the music and entertainment industry. The female idol has one of the most unique voices, charisma, fiery stage presence who is also skilled in writing and composing lyrics.
However, her debut didn't go well despite MAMAMOO's good music, as she received several malicious comments for her honest personality along with her visual that received lots of negative responses for not passing the Korean beauty standards--leading to her almost withdrawal from the group.
She pulled a reverse card then when she had her solo debut and released "Twit," where she slowly gained fame. In 2020, she completely cemented her huge popularity after dropping her hit track, "Maria." Moreover, she was also widely loved for her participation in "How Do You Play?" where she debuted in a project group "Refund Sisters" along with her appearance in "I Live Alone."

Meanwhile, Hyeri, a member of Girl's Day ranked at No. 9, who emerged as a popular idol.
In particular, the star debuted in the girl group as a replacement member, and she was indeed one of the most ignored members.
However, disarming the entire nation with a special act of cuteness (aegyo), Hyeri captured the hearts of fans and netizens, causing her rapidly increasing popularity.
Her influence contributed to the success of Girl's day track "Something" released in 2014 as well, which became one of their breakthroughs. The track peaked No.1 at Gaon Monthly Chart and won "Best Dance Performance by a Female Group" at "MNET Asian Music Awards" in the same year.
Her fame even rose higher when she was selected as the main character in the drama, "Reply 1988" in 2015.
This led her to the advertising world after soaring the popularity ceiling in 2016. She became the queen of advertisements and won the title of "10 billion won girl."

Lastly, EXID, who suddenly climbed to the top two years after their debut ranked No. 6 in the ranking.
In 2014, EXID was announced to signed with Yedang Entertainment then which their track, "Up & Down" released in the same year was a collaboration with Shinsadong Tiger. Despite the bop song, it failed to reign in music charts, not until member Hani's fan-cam dancing to the song got viral on various Korean communities that even reached the international fans.
Due to this, EXID has achieved the honor of winning first place for the first time and created an "up & down" craze.
