J.Y. Park of JYP Entertainment Selected as 'Ideal Boss' in Japan — Do You Agree?

Park Jinyoung, or also known as J.Y. Park, was selected by the Japanese as one of the "Top 5 Ideal Bosses" through a survey. Do you agree?

According to Meiji Yasuda, a Japanese life insurance company, the CEO and founder of one of the "Big 3," JYP Entertainment, ranked fifth place on the survey that ranks the Top 5 "most ideal bosses" among Japanese respondents.

The life insurance company surveyed a total of 2,980 respondents, comprised of students, office workers, and government officials who are about to get a job in December last year, and asked about celebrities who they think are ideal bosses.

According to the results of the survey released on Feb. 2, Tuesday, Park Jinyoung (J.Y. Park), who discovered and raises a nine-member girl group NiziU consisting of Japanese members, ranked fifth among male celebrities.

NiziU, a group that was formed through a girl group audition program, was introduced by JYP along with Sony Music in Japan and received Korean idol training at JYP headquarters.

The group since then has been enjoying great popularity in Japan, with its debut single "Step and a Step," released in early December last year, topping the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. Their debut single featured a title song of the same name made by Park Jinyoung himself.

Why is J.Y Park an "Ideal Boss"?

Kyodo News reported that Park Jinyoung was highly regarded for his leadership and ranked at the top for the first time in the survey, which is unusual for that a person from a Korean company to be selected.

In addition to this, his words of motivation also became a hot topic among netizens, such as, "Never say or do anything you can't say in front of the camera, even if you don't have a camera," adding, "If you will keep practicing, it will build up and make your dreams come true."

Undoubtedly, J.Y. Park is often praised on how he treats his artists personally.

J.Y. Park is said to have a close relationship with JYP Entertainment artists, that even after leaving his agency, he will still be in touch with them. One example is his closeness to his former artists Sunmi, Rain, and g.o.d members.

As for his current artists, J.Y. Park is well-respected, including DAY6 Jae. In 2020, the idol band member shared how their CEO motivated him when the group was on hiatus.

In November 2020, JYP Entertainment and P NATION leaders J.Y.Park and Psy announced their collaboration, along with SBS, to look for the members of an upcoming global boy group.

The show, which is already amassing attention from netizens and K-pop fans, is set to be broadcast in the second half of 2021.
