On Feb. 5, Friday, K-Pop Radar dropped charts for various categories, including the rankings for music videos that achieved the highest views for January, hot issues for the month, idols who earned the most followers on SNS, as well as the "Artist of the Month" for January.
K-Pop Radar Hailed TREASURE as "Artist of the Month" for January
Among numerous K-pop groups that showed notable performances in January, YG Entertainment's dynamic rookie group TREASURE has been selected as the first K-pop Radar's "Artist of the Month" this 2021.
On the same day, the music data analytics platform explained that TREASURE was chosen for the title as they became a new K-pop artist with the largest amount of Twitter mentions in 2020.
TREASURE also incredibly gained more than 150,000 followers this month. And in addition, their title track "MY TREASURE" music video surpassed 10 million views just four days after its release, following its last songs "I Love You" and "MMM," boasting their unrelenting domestic and international popularity.
Based on K-pop Radar's analysis on TREASURE's YouTube channel, the 12-member group has received about 80 million YouTube views over the past 28 days. Among them, Indonesia accounted for an overwhelming 29.4 percent, followed by Thailand with 16.8 percent, the Philippines with 14.0 percent, Malaysia with 7.4 percent, and Japan with 6.3 percent.

TREASURE has proved incredible global popularity on Twitter as well as YouTube. According to the data released by Twitter, TREASURE was selected as the new artist with the largest number of tweets in 2020 and proved to be a popular rookie.
BTS, BLACKPINK, GOT7, ATEEZ, and ASTRO Ruled K-Pop Radar's "Monthly Social Chart"
For the K-pop artists with the most Twitter followers in January, BTS sits atop the ranking with 760,475 additional followers.
Trailing behind are the GOT7 members BAMBAM, Jackson, and Mark, who claimed the second, third, and fourth spot respectively.
BTS's junior group TXT completed the top 5, with 300,905 followers added.
As for Instagram rankings, ASTRO and "True Beauty" actor Cha Eun Woo topped the Instagram category following last month on this monthly K-pop Radar.
Cha Eun Woo's Instagram followers recorded an increase of about 3.59 million in January. Mark Lee from NCT and SuperM then ranked second with 2.18 million followers upon opening his personal Instagram.
Also, BLACKPINK's Jennie (1.8 million), Lisa (1.69 million), and Jisoo (1.685 million) secured their rankings on the top five as they ranked third to fifth consecutively.
Lastly, for Fan Cafe with the highest increase in members, the Fan cafe of ATEEZ (3.9 million), THE BOYZ (3.6 million), MONSTA X (3.5 million) ASTRO (2.8 million), and Lim Young Woong (2.4 million) entered the top five, ranking sequentially.
