MONSTA Kihyun went on to detail what he remembers about the time he was still a middle-school student. He stated:

"What I remember of my middle-school days is that I was a student who liked to sing and hang out with my friends. Particularly, in the third year of middle school, I recall myself having fun with my friends while practicing a song for our teacher's wedding. I remember becoming closer with my classmates through the experience and spending a lot of time with them even during our breaks.

Of course, when I look back, I know that I wasn't faithful to my studies and that I did things that were inappropriate as a student. I continue to feel guilty about those things after I became an adult, and I have no excuse for those who speak roughly about those now.

I apologize for causing disappointment through this matter and will live in deep self-reflection"

MONSTA X Kihyun then apologized to the people who were hurt through his immature actions during his middle-school days. He also expressed his apology to the fans for making them worry.
