BTS' 'Dynamite' MV Views and SNS Growth Shockingly Increased After Grammys

Although BTS didn't win in Grammys, the current "world's biggest boy band" recorded an impressive increase in their social media followers and MV views, winning the hearts of new fans instead.

On March 17, the fandom data observing platform K-pop Radar intensively analyzed YouTube and SNS records of the group BTS, the first Asian artist to be nominated for the Grammy Awards.

K-pop Radar Announces BTS Impressive Growth After Grammys

According to K-pop Radar, "The official Twitter followers of BTS increased 4.7 times compared to the previous day on March 15 when the Grammy Awards, the most prestigious music awards ceremony in the U.S. was held, and the number of views on the music video of Dynamite also increased 2.3 times."

The step-by-step growth of BTS continues. The septet, comprised of Jin, RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, and their group was the first Asian artist to be nominated for the Grammy Awards "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance" category this year, raising K-pop's status.

Although they failed to bring home the honor, BTS didn't leave empty-handed as their fandom data on the K-pop radar recorded significant changes, capturing new fans and supporters.

The daily views of the "Dynamite" music video, which was counted on the K-pop Radar on March 15 recorded about 6.95 million views, drawing a graph of a steep increase in views. This is an increase of about 2.3 times compared to the previous day, the highest daily views in 192 days since September 5 last year.

In response, K-pop Radar said, "The daily follower growth of BTS is three to four times higher than that of a prominent candidate. It is still an artist who continues to grow endlessly."

Lastly, the platform also predicted that with BTS's steady rise, it is expected that chances are high of winning in the Grammys next year.

BTS Continues to Ascent to their Thrown as "Biggest Boy Band in the World"

Aside from the huge mark that they left in K-pop history with their Grammys' nomination, BTS also swept various international awards for the past days.

First, the group won three gold medals at the 2021 "Kids Choice Awards" including the honors for "Favorite Music Group," "Favorite Song" with their track "Dynamite" and "Favorite Global Music Star."

Moreover, they also took home most gold medals in Japan's "Golden Disc Awards." The superstars won a total of eight gold medals, a new record for overseas artists.

The Japan Gold Disc Awards was awarded to singers and works that have contributed to the development of the music industry throughout the year, and winners of each category were selected based on sales of records and videos released in the previous year.

In addition to this, BTS also ranked fourth in Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.) for the fifth consecutive week as of this day, which counts streaming and sales in more than 200 countries and regions around the world ---and marking the longest time since the chart was established. It was also their 15th no.1 on the "Digital Song Sales" chart.
