BLACKPINK member Rosé just made another surprise for her fans after the successful release of her first solo album. On Thursday, March 18, the South Korean singer finally launched her much-anticipated YouTube channel.

BLACKPINK Rosé Shares Childhood Memories and Dreams on First YouTube Video
In her debut clip on the popular video streaming site, Rosé divulged how her parents decided to give her the name Roseanne. Some old adorable videos of the BLACKPINK member were included on her first upload, including one where she introduces her self and showed off her "longest split."
Rosé revealed how happy she was growing up in a cozy house perfect for their family of four. The "How You Like That" singer even recounted how she loved taking long naps after returning home from school back then.
Rosé also revealed that her love for music started when she learned to play the piano. Since then, the BLACKPINK member started wondering the meaning of having a talent and the true definition of a singer.
Through the years, Rosé has learned that the most essential thing in music is portraying her life experiences and stories and use it to make a voice in the modern world. This, according to the "On the Ground" hitmaker, is the primary reason why music to her is "comfort," especially during these trying times.
Rosé also shared some behind-the-scenes clips of her performance practice for "On the Ground" in February. According to the BLACKPINK member, the lyrics of the center on a girl who works very hard to chase her dreams so she could reach the top and tell the world that there is no coming down. However, once the girl reaches the top, she realized that all she needed was, actually, just on the ground.
The "Ice Cream" songstress added that, sometimes, most people just want to be as successful as they could without even realizing that, maybe, they are chasing for the unnecessary things on their way to the top.
"Maybe what we truly need is already in our hands, right here on the ground," BLACKPINK member Rosé continued.
As of this writing, the debut video of Rosé on her official YouTube channel already garnered over 910,000 views and around 413,000 likes. These statistics are expected to increase in the coming days as more and more BLACKPINK fans are able to watch it.

BLACKPINK Rosé Records Highest First Week Album Sales for Female Soloist in a Day
Meanwhile, Rosé just broke another record recently after her first solo-album reached more than 282,600 sales in just one day since the release of her physical album on March 16. In other words, the BLACKPPINK member has already beaten the record of IU, who sold 147,856 copies of her "Love Poem" album in its first week.
Most, if not all, fans can recall that "-R-" had more than 500,000 pre-orders from several parts of the world, including South Korea, China, Japan and United States. "On the Ground" by BLACKPINK Rosé even debuted at No. 8 on the Global Top 50 chart of Spotify.
The said song got a total of 3,262,615 streams during its first 24 hours while "Gone," which is the b-side track of the album, garnered 2,945,783 streams. BLACKPINK Rose's "One the Ground" also reached the No. 1 iTunes Top Song charts in over 50 countries.
