WINNER Seungyoon's "Better" is Written from the Ex-Boyfriend Point of View, Inspired to BLACKPINK Jennie's "SOLO"
In the broadcast, Kang Seungyoon said he was inspired by BLACKPINK Jennie's "SOLO" on his latest album.
In particular, Kang, who finally released his first solo album "Page" after eight years since his debut, shared his experiences during promotions, achievements, and behind-the-scenes while working on his album.
"Iyah," which is the title track of " Page," is a song about the responsibility and the burden of becoming an adult as you get older---which proves Kang Seungyoon's ability as a singer-songwriter and producer.
Meanwhile, Kang Seungyoon then revealed that the song "BETTER," featuring his co-member Mino, is actually inspired by his co-YG artist's solo debut track, "SOLO."
According to the singer, it is like a response from the ex-boyfriend's perspective. While Jennie's song has the empowering line, "I'm a shining solo," Seungyoon's "Better," answered with regret saying, "Now you look better when we were us."
He then explained, "Sometimes, when I run out of materials, I listen to songs by artists around me and try to write songs from the opposite point of view."

Kang Seungyoon, who showed off his idol career without regret and entertained his fans, told a fan who put him before work, "You shouldn't lose your current job. You have to take care of it. Life can fall apart," he said.
As the broadcast went on, Seungyoon also reminisced the time when he appeared in "Superstar K2" prior debut.
Now, 11 years later, he replied, "I think he's a man who's frustrated by the storm. At that time, I was so ambitious that I introduced myself as a stormy man. He added, I'm a little frustrated, and I have a side that traps me. In fact, I don't think I can confidently say that I am a storm handsome man now. I think that's why a song like 'Iyah" came out."
Regarding the fact that "PAGE" exceeded 100,000 initial sales, he then thanked the fans for purchasing his first album.
