BLACKPINK Beats Marshmello and Ozuna + 'As If It's Your Last' Music Video Projected to Reach 1 Billion Views Soon

BLACKPINK has proven, time and again, that they are a force to be reckoned with. The YG Entertainment-formed group has even cemented its name as the biggest female group in the world. On Saturday, April 17, it was announced that quartet is also the fastest act to reach 30 million subscribers in the history of YouTube.

BLACKPINK Beats American DJ Marshmello and Ozuna on YouTube

BLACKPINK dominated the list of the fastest acts to surpass 30 million subscribers on YouTube. Reports claimed it took Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé a total of three years and two months before they were able to break the said mark.

Coming after BLACKPINK in the second place is American DJ Marshmello, who achieved the feat after three years and ten months. Other artists who made it to the list include Ozuna, who made it after four years and five months; XXXTentacion, who reached the milestone after five years and six months; and Bad Bunny, who took six years and five months before surpassing the record.

Some BLINKs are not even surprise to see BLACKPINK on top of the list. As a matter off act, the all-girl band has set multiple Guinness World Record titles last year with their chart-topping track titled "How You Like That."

The official music video of "How You Like That" by BLACKPINK garnered a total of 86.3 million views during its first 24 hours. The track also achieved major records, namely: the most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group, and most viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours.

All three records were achieved by BTS and Halsey's "Boy with Love" in April 2019. Other former record holders of the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours are "Kill This Love" by BLACKPINK with 56.7 million views, "Look What You Made Me Do" by Taylor Swift with 43.2 million views and "thank u, next" by Ariana Grande with 55.4 million views.

BLACKPINK's 'As If It's Your Last' MV Could Reach 1 Billion Views Soon

Meanwhile, the official music video of "As If It's Your Last" by BLACKPINK is projected to reach 1 billion views very soon. As of this writing, the clip is five million views away from breaking the said mark on YouTube.

The music video, which was uploaded on June 22, 2017, has generated a total of 995,586,355 already. It also garnered more than 9.6 million likes and a total of 1,474,115 comments as of press time.

Before "As If It's Your Last," the official music videos of "DDU-DU DDU-DU," "Kill This Love" and "Boombayah" also reached 1 billion views on YouTube. As of this writing, BLACKPINK ties with BTS for the most YouTube videos with 1 Billion views among K-pop acts.

The Bangtan Boys also have three music videos with more than 1 billion views, namely: "Dynamite," "DNA" and "Boy with Luv." However, BLACKPINK is very much likely to break the tie with BTS should "As If It's Your Last" join the billion-view club soon.
