The seven accomplices who were with Jung Ilhoon during the hearing also received their sentences. Some had received a one-year and six months to two years in prison sentence, or a one-year in prison and three years on probation sentence, which is dependent on the number of instances that they had purchased and consumed marijuana.

During the hearing, it was also pointed out by the court that the defendants had used "sophisticated crime techniques" in their crime, such as using the dark web to communicate with one another - which makes it difficult to trace and detect crimes - and had made their transactions using bitcoin, a virtual currency.

In addition, the court also stated that Jung Ilhoon and his fellow accomplice, "Park," had played a leading role and committed the most number of criminal acts.
