BLACKPINK Dominates All Top 10 Spots in the Most Watched Female K-Pop Music Videos in Youtube History

On July 2 at around 7am KST, BLACKPINK makes another incredible achievement on Youtube!

The four-member girl group's music video for "Ice Cream," that was released just less than a year ago on August 28, 2020, and features American singer-songwriter Selena Gomez, has surpassed 589.3 million views and 16 million likes as of this writing.

Not only that, but with the "Ice Cream" music video having more than 589.3 million views, it subsequently surpassed the number of views of TWICE's "TT" music video. Since "TT" held the spot as the 10th most watched female K-Pop music video in Youtube history with 589.2 million views, "Ice Cream" eventually takes the spot.

Though it seems that the two music videos are neck and neck for the 10th spot, as the difference in views is only less than 200,000.

In addition, this also means that BLACKPINK's music videos are dominating all top 10 spots, as the No.1 until No.9 most watched female K-Pop music videos are from all BLACKPINK!

Currently at No.1 is BLACKPINK music video for "DDU-DU DDU-DU," which has more than 1.6 billion views. At No.2 is "Kill This Love" with 1.3 billion views, at No.3 is "BOOMBAYAH" with 1.2 billion views, at No.4 is "As If It's Your Last" with one billion views, at No.5 is "How You Like That" with 906 million views, at No.6 is the dance performance video of "How You Like That" with 751 million views, at No.7 is Jennie's "SOLO" with 682 million views, at No.8 is "Whistle" with 673 million views, at No.9 is "Playing With Fire" with 663 million views, and lastly, at No.10 is "Ice Cream" with 589.3 million views.

Of course, as BLACKPINK is dominating the charts in the female K-Pop category, they are also dominating the most watched music videos by a female group worldwide in Youtube history. The aforementioned songs' music videos have taken the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 14th spots, respectively, as the most watched music videos.

BLACKPINK is the Most Streamed Female Group on Spotify

Besides Youtube, BLACKPINK is also dominating the global music platform, Spotify!

In the first half of 2021, BLACKPINK is the most streamed female group with over one billion streams, bringing the group's total number of streams to a whopping 5.4 billion across all of the songs that they have released on the platform, and making BLACKPINK the first K-Pop girl group to do so.

Not only that, but this marks BLACKPINK's 12th consecutive month being the most streamed female group on Spotify since June 2020.

In January, BLACKPINK had accumulated 214,736,932 streams; in February, 188,247,845 streams; in March, 193,115,099 streams; in April,166,966,722 streams; in May, 163,830,170 streams; and just last month in June, 162,215,995 streams - bringing their total to 1,089,112,763 streams this year.
