aespa Giselle drew attention due to her family background, following the speculations that the female idol was born with a "golden spoon" and came from an influential family. Following Lee Soo Man's dating rumor with her alleged aunt, people's interest in the aespa member escalated.

On July 21, SM Entertainment founder and producer Lee Soo Man was caught in a dating rumor. The controversy started when he made headlines for allegedly gifting a foreign reporter a 5 billion worth of villa located in Gangnam.

Korean news outlets then speculated that the reporter in question is aespa Giselle's aunt, known for always supporting the group as well.

aespa Giselle Family: How Influential and Rich the "Next Level" Singer is?

On July 22, a Korean media outlet Daily Safety News examined aespa Giselle's family background.

The "rookie monster" idol was born in Garosu-gil Korea, located in the affluent district of Gangnam. During her pre-debut days, Giselle also attended the International School of the Sacred Heart in Tokyo, Japan, wherein students pay hefty school fees and admission fees.

As a Korean-Japanese growing in a foreign country and even attended an international school, Giselle is a trilingual who can speak English, Korean, and Japanese fluently.

Aside from her impressive and wealthy lifestyle, there are also reports saying Giselle's aunt is Cho Joo Hee, the director of the Seoul branch of ABC News in the U.S.

Meanwhile, Giselle auditioned and eventually joined SM Entertainment, making her debut after joining aespa for about 11 months as a trainee.

Although there is no confirmation whether Lee Soo Man and Giselle's aunt dating rumor is true, another issue sparked that Giselle entered SM Entertainment through her connection.

As a response, aespa fans, Mys, were quick to slam the speculations, giving testimonies of how talented the female idol is.

aespa signed with CAA in All Areas

aespa heralded their expansion in the U.S. after signing with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) on July 22.

According to Pollstar, CAA has signed a deal with SM Entertainment's newest K-pop girl group aespa in "all areas." In context, CAA is a U.S. agency that focuses on various fields including film, music, sports, game, TV, and other online content.

Following the announcement, SM Entertainment's executive Jeremy Lopez confirmed the news through his Instagram story, making aespa the third group to partner with CAA, following SuperM and NCT 127.

aespa, comprised of four members Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning, creates a unique storytelling concept featuring individual avatars or "æ" present in a virtual world.

In addition to the explosive increase in aespa on YouTube with "Black Mamba" and "Next Level," the group became the first K-pop group to be selected as a global brand ambassador for French luxury brand, Givenchy.
