Stray Kids "NOEASY" Records Highest Pre-Orders among Albums by Fourth-Generation Groups

In the afternoon on Aug. 17, Stray Kids' "NOEASY" has reached 830,000 pre-orders. This is an increase of about 530,000 copies from the 300,000 pre-orders of their previous album "IN LIFE."

There are still six days left before Stray Kids' new studio album "NOEASY" is officially released. Hence, the number of pre-orders until the release date is expected to increase further.

Stray Kids has been breaking their personal record for highest pre-orders since their first full-length album "GO LIVE."

Stray Kids' "GO LIVE," which was released in June 2020, achieved 200,000 pre-orders five days before its official release. Three months later, the repackaged album "IN LIFE" exceeded 300,000 pre-orders just three days before it was launched, breaking their previous record.

Now, Stray Kids' "NOEASY" has set the group's highest pre-orders in their career. It has also broken the record for a fourth-generation group.

The album by a fourth-generation group that previously held the record for highest pre-orders is TXT's "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE," which achieved more than 700,000 pre-orders.

If these pre-orders for Stray Kids' "NOEASY" turn into sales, the studio album will be the best-selling album by the band. It would also become the best-selling album by a fourth-generation group when this happens.

Additionally, "NOEASY" would even become the first or second best-selling album in JYP Entertainment's history. The current JYP album with the most sales is J.Y. Park's "Tantara," which has cumulative sales of 830,000 copies on the Gaon Chart.

Congratulations to Stray Kids!

Stray Kids' "NOEASY" Album - What We Know So Far

Stray Kids' studio album "NOEASY," which is the group's first release in 11 months, will showcase the members' new musical combination. It will include a total of 14 songs including the title track "THUNDEROUS," their Mnet "Kingdom" final song "WOLFGANG," and the previously released mixtape "OH."

What makes this album more meaningful is that the Stray Kids' members participated in writing the lyrics for the songs in the album. The title song, "THUNDEROUS," in particular, was written by the group's 3RACHA (which consists of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han alongside HotSauce).

It is expected the Stray Kids will continue to rise in popularity with their studio album "NO EASY," which will be released following their victory in Mnet's "Kingdom" this past June.

As a reward for winning in "Kingdom," the boy group will star in their variety show "KINGDOM WEEK," which will air every day at 5:30 p.m. KST from Aug. 17 to 22.

Stray Kids' "NOEASY" is due out on Aug. 23 at 6 p.m. KST, together with the music video for "THUNDEROUS."
