On the 25th, aespa's fandom MY brought waves of laughter to the quartet at the "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" in the U.S.
In particular, the quartet attended the Thanksgiving Festival and departed to New York, USA, from Korea to personally meet their fans and join the event.
During the parade then, MYs, fans of aespa suddenly flashed huge cabbages and carrots that even captured the attention of non-K-pop fans who attended the thanksgiving parade.
Why Do Cabbages and Carrots Become Special for aespa and MYs? Here's the Reason
In the event, the fandom drew attention for their wittiness to capture Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing's attention with the aforementioned vegetables.
While non-K-pop fans considered it as an inside joke between the fandom and the idols, it actually has a sad background story that made the gesture bittersweet.
In context, aespa debuted in November last year, but a year had passed, and they still don't have an official lightstick.
As a result, fans soothed the sadness of aespa, a group without a light stick through cabbage and carrots.
But why did they pick cabbages and carrots of all items?

The hilarious behind-the-scenes story happened in a recent video meeting with fans, wherein aespa Karina said, "We don't have a cheering stick. A lot of people came. I want to tell you this."
When asked by a fan, "What should I do?"
"How about carrots?" Karina suggested.
When the fan pointed out that it would be hard to be seen by the members, Karina then suggested another vegetable.
"How about cabbage? I look forward to it. I'll make kimchi for you," the "Next Level" singer replied in a friendly manner.
Since then, may it be online or offline events, MYs would bring carrots and cabbages, which undoubtedly brought joy to the members.
Despite this, fans who saw clips and photos from the event called out SM Entertainment for not releasing lightstick for aespa yet.
"When will aespa light stick come out?", "Please make it quickly," "Red Velvet has been released in four years, SM is too strict," internet users in unison commented about the launch of the official aespa light stick.
aespa Becomes First-Ever Girl Group to Perform During 95th 'Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade'
Even without light sticks, the response to aespa's attendance at New York's thanksgiving event was hot.
In history, the "Rookie Monster" aespa was the first K-pop girl group to attend and perform at the event.
The quartet walked around the streets in a large, ornately decorated parade car to breathe closely with local citizens.
Aside from this, they also heated the scene with a strong performance by presenting their hit song "Savage" during the parade march.
This year's "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" attracted world-class stars such as aespa, Darren Criss of the popular American drama "Glee," Disney movie "Soul" OST composer Jon Batiste, and dozens of large character balloons and performances.
