Genius Korea took into account how well the songs charted on Genius. Only artists who released music from November 30, 2020, to November 30, 2021, were considered. The data used to determine who ranks where includes total page views and concurrent page views on original, romanization, and English translation pages via lyric searches on Genius.
TWICE is Genius Korea's Top Girl Group for 2021
Ranking in the first place is TWICE! This is not surprising due to the number of releases TWICE had this year. In December 2020, TWICE released "CRY FOR ME" as a digital single following their performance at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
In April 2021, TWICE released the Japanese single "Kura Kura." In June 2021, TWICE released their tenth Korean mini-album, "Taste of Love," and the lead single, "Alcohol-Free."

In July, TWICE released their third Japanese full-length album, "Perfect World," with a title track of the same name. On October 1, TWICE released their first English-language single, "The Feels." A month later, on November 12, TWICE released their third Korean full-length album "Formula of Love: O+T=<3" with the lead single "SCIENTIST."
On December 3, TWICE released their ninth Japanese single "Doughnut."

ITZY is Genius's Second Top Girl Group for 2021
Ranking in second place is another JYP Entertainment girl group — ITZY! On March 20, 2021, TWICE released the digital single "Trust Me (MIDZY)." The song is dedicated to their fan base and was released as part of their first global livestream project.
On April 30, ITZY released their fourth mini-album, "Guess Who," and its lead single "Mafia in the Morning." An English version was released on May 14.

On September 1, ITZY made their debut in Japan with the mini-album "What'z ITZY." That same month, on September 24 ITZY released their first studio album "Crazy in Love" and its lead single "LOCO."
On December 22, ITZY will released their Japanese best album "It'z ITZY."
