BTS Jin's 'Yours' Hits 30 Million Streams on Spotify

Last January 7, "Yours," the OST for the tvN drama "Jirisan" by BTS Jin, exceeded 30 million streams on Spotify. Because of this, Jin broke the record for reaching 30 million streams in the quickest time with a Korean solo OST.

Jin's falsetto vocals are featured in the OST, it received a lot of positive responses from listeners because of the depth that it adds to the drama's narrative.

Aside from that, "Yours" entered the official Billboard "Hot Trending Song Weekly Chart" for eight consecutive weeks, making a new history of entering the chart for the longest time among Korean solo songs.

Moreover, Jin showed off his powerful solo power by entering two of his songs, "Yours" and "Super Tuna," for the first time as a Korean solo artist.

On the official Billboard "Billboard Hot Trending Songs Chart-weekly," released on January 6, BTS Jin's "Yours" ranked 10th and stayed on the chart for eight weeks.

This is the longest chart record among Korean solo songs.

In addition, BTS Jin's self-composed song "Super Tuna" also ranked 14th on the same chart, showing strong brand power by posting two solo songs side by side for four weeks.

"Yours" and "Super Tuna" are currently ranking 4th and 6th on Billboard's "Billboard Hot Trending Songs Chart/24hours" as of January 7, proving Jin's global popularity.

BTS Jin's 'Super Tuna' Causes Sensation All Over the Internet

The Korean embassy in China hosted Jin's "Super Tuna" challenge, and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries also participated in the event. The embassy even offered to give a prize to the winners of the challenge.

"Super Tuna" surpassed the record of PSY's "Gangnamn Style," and Jin became the first K-pop solo singer to top the world's YouTube music charts for a whopping 16 days.

The song caused a sensation on all of the social media platforms and it even got its own documentary. Because of this, it is hard to believe that "Super Tuna" was just released last December without any promotions.

In addition, many mascots of Korean local governments and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries have all participated in Jin's Super Tuna Dance Challenge.

As of now, the "#SuperTuna" hashtag on TikTok is recording 234.2 million views, and countless Super Tuna Challenges from men and women of all ages around the world add to the long list of challenges made with the trend.

Aside from that, Pinkfong's "Baby Shark," which holds the world's top YouTube views record with 9.8 billion views, posted a challenge video on their official account, proving the immense popularity and topicality of "Super Tuna."
