In the past, companies and idols themselves always look for various ways on how to keep their comebacks and releases a secret to surprise fans and keep the level of anticipation.
While many idols try numerous ways to provide clues regarding their imminent comeback, such as wearing caps and hoodies to hide their new hair color or avoid live broadcasts in the meantime, these 7 K-pop stars are always unstoppable when it comes to giving spoilers, and the ways they give hints are always iconic.
Here are 7 'Spoiler Fairies' of K-pop:
1. MIRAE Son Dongpyo
Dongpyo is a whole different kind of a "spoiler fairy" as he didn't only spoil a release or a comeback, but his group's debut!
One of the most iconic moments when the rookie idol almost got himself in trouble was when he communicated with fans through V Live outside a filming site in January 2021, two months ahead of MIRAE's debut in March.
Aside from their upcoming schedule, he also initially showed the group's signature move and hinted at their name! It was a whole chaos as, despite the staff's efforts to stop him, Dongpyo just gave them his iconic laugh!
2. SHINee Taemin

Taemin of SHINee is known for his quiet and shy image during their rookie days, but now that he's a senior idol, he's started to show his quirky and hilarious side.
On V Live, the "Move" singer would hum his unreleased tracks, teasing fans, and even give a lot of hints.
But one of the most iconic spoilers he gave was when he suddenly posted a photo of two kids on his Instagram.
Immediately, news outlets and K-pop fandoms speculated that it's a confession of birth to twins, and some even wished for his happiness.
Soon after, SM Entertainment dropped photo teasers of Taemin's new single, and hilariously, the title is "2 Kids."
3. BTS RM
Apart from being the leader, RM is also the "Spoiler King" in BTS, to the point that the members are always watching what he says, given how his tongue always slips during broadcast.
In November 2021, the male idol once again created another iconic moment when he spoiler their GRAMMY 2022 nomination!
In a V Live broadcast, RM accidentally confirmed their nomination two days ahead of its official announcement.
When the idol spoiled it, the members couldn't help but shake their heads and Jin even teased their leader by pointing out how their staff pulled their hair due to stress.
4. EXO Sehun
This list will not be complete without the "Spoiler Fairy" of EXO, Sehun!
On Instagram, Sehun doesn't fail to always blow EXO-Ls' minds by posting behind-the-scenes photos and related phrases ahead of either his group or sub-unit's comeback.
One of the most iconic moments was when he spoiled EXO-SC's comebacks and how fast Chanyeol tried to call him out to delete the photo, saying, "Hey, why did you upload this, delete this. We will be scolded by the company."
However, being playful as he is, Sehun just responded, "No turning back."
5. Woodz
UNIQ Seungyoun, also known as WOODZ, should be on this list!
During IG Live or V Live, the male singer will not only give hints that he would have a release but even play his songs in the background!
Before the release of his third mini-album, "ONLY LOVERS LEFT," in October, he didn't only spoil his title track or b-sidetrack but the whole album by playing the highlights of all of the six tracks!
6.TWICE Nayeon
TWICE are a bunch of "spoiler fairies" but the queen title goes to Nayeon!
One of the most memorable moments when she hinted at their release was dropping the exact photo used for photocards included in their albums!
7. Red Velvet Yeri
Yeri is truly the "spoiler fairy" of Red Velvet!
On January 17, it seems like she just spoiled an upcoming release of Red Velvet in 2022!
On the bubble, she told Reveluvs a TMI, and it is how she dyed her hair blue black, and that they had a group schedule!
