Pheed Leaps Over Twitter, Facebook As Top iPhone Social App, A Platform For The Celebrity Entrepreneur

Being the most recent iPhone social app to top Twitter and Facebook, Pheed is creating excitement amongst celebrities who want to use the social app to meet their entrepreneurial needs.

Ilya Pozin, who specializes in entrepreneurship and digital marketing, described Pheed as Twitter with a business plan. Pozin said in a Forbes article that unlike Pheed, Twitter is limited while Facebook is boring, resulting in users turning to other social media apps to gain followers rather than share quality content.

Pheed CEO O.D. Kobo, thinks giving celebrities and influencers the choice to profit from the top iPhone social app will create a rise of quality content.

Members have the opportunity to share for free or a premium, by applying a monthly subscription fee to their channel or making a pay-per-view live broadcast event. Users can charge $1.99 to $34.99 per view or $1.99 to $34.99 a month. They can select their own pricing and split the revenue with Pheed. With the ablitiy to stream live concerts, interviews or boxing matches on pay-per-view, the monetary limits are endless. Kobe feels true fans of celebrities, influencers, and content producers will pay to view their private or exclusive content.

On Pheed, celebrities can share text, photo, audio, video, and live broadcast. Competing social apps like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Tumblr can do some of those things but not all of them. Kobo used the limits of these social networks as inspiration.

The top iPhone social app it hit over 350,000 unique visitors just a few days after launching last year. Pozin mentioned that around that same time, Miley Cyrus launched her Pheed to upload an audio recording and it drew 10,000 vistors in half a second.

Rapper Waka Flocka Flame told Rolling Stones that he was excited about the social media app, which he described as the "one device that's like an octopus... it has so many arms."
