(G)I-DLE Yuqi Confesses She is a Huge Fan of This Kep1er Member
On January 20, 2022, Yuqi of (G)I-DLE met with fans through a solo live stream on Naver's V Live. The Chinese idol live-streamed for two hours, updating fans on her life, answering comments and talking about her interests. During the live stream, Yuqi was asked about how she feels about different idols and who she wants to be friends with.

During the live stream, a viewer asked her about Shen Xiaoting of Kep1er. Yuqi reads the comment, saying, "Xiaoting? Shen Xiaoting?"
She then gets shy, smiling coyly at the camera. Yuqi then confesses her feelings for the idol, saying, "I also really like her but I am kinda shy."

Yuqi then enlists the help of her viewers. She asks those watching to tell Shen Xiaoting that Yuqi likes her and wants to get to know her. She adds that she hopes that all of the Chinese idols, also known as the China line, can know each other and be friends.

(G)I-DLE Yuqi Wishes to Befriend aespa Ningning
However, Shen Xiaoting is not the only Chinese idol Yuqi wants to get to know! During that same live stream, Yuqi revealed that she likes and wants to befriend aespa member Ningning. The (G)I-DLE member confessed that she watched aespa's performances often but is too shy to ask Ningning for her WeChat herself.

Similar to what she did for Shen Xiaoting, Yuqi enlists the help of those watching her live stream! She asks MYs (aespa's fanbase) to ask Ningning for her contact details instead!
Yuqi also revealed that she previously had a chance to meet Ningning in the past. However, Yuqi was unable to meet her because she had prior commitments.

It appears Yuqi wants to befriend all the Chinese idols! Yuqi is already friends with several Chinese idols, such as PENTAGON's Yanan, NCT's Lucas, EVERGLOW's Yiren, former CLC member Elkie, GOT7's Jackson, and more! Yuqi is truly K-pop's social butterfly!
