After several Chinese Jennie Bars announced they would be going on an indefinite hiatus, several international BLACKPINK support groups have taken to social media to announce the same thing. Keep on reading to learn why.
More BLACKPINK Support Groups Announce Indefinite Hiatus
On January 27, several BLACKPINK support groups on Twitter simultaneously announced that they would be going on a temporary hiatus without a clear explanation. Following this, several individual fansites for BLACKPINK member Jisoo expressed their anger. Speculations arose that this act of defiance from BLINKs was against Jisoo.
Jisoo is currently the only member actively promoting. The idol still has two more episodes until "Snowdrop" concludes their airing, but a series of BLACKPINK fanbases have announced their temporary hiatuses. Initially, people speculated that the support groups chose to do this to pressure YG Entertainment to make a statement on BLACKPINK's comeback.

However, this perception has changed. During BLACKPINK's fansign on Wever on the 25th, Jisoo was asked if she would be making her solo debut in 2022. To this, Jisoo replied, "Of course!"
Reportedly, several BLINKs were unhappy that YG Entertainment is investing in Jisoo's activities rather than BLACKPINK as a whole. Therefore, these fanbases decided to go on hiatus and suspend all their activities right before the finale of "Snowdrop," openly not supporting the final episodes of the series.

Moreover, despite announcing that they will be halting activities — meaning there will be no new posts or updates on their pages — several support groups are retweeting posts of other fan bases and other artists. Many believe this is done to spite Jisoo support groups.
Following this incident, Jisoo's support group, Forever Kim Jisoo, took a stand for Jisoo fans and contacted several BLACKPINK support groups. They convinced several of them to stay active until the finale of "Snowdrop."

How Are People Reacting to the Sudden Hiatus of Several BLACKPINK Support Groups?
Many, especially Jisoo fans, are very disappointed and angry at the actions of these fanbases. People also feel pity and heartache for Jisoo. Despite her solo career, Jisoo is still a member of BLACKPINK and often shows how much she loves and appreciates her members. Still, she was turned away by a large part of the BLINK community due to her activities.
Some comments concerning this situation read, "They call themselves BLINK, but is Jisoo not part of the group? They are supposed to love and protect BLACKPINK the most," "Stop switching from OT4 to OT3," "Jisoo has gone through so much, and the fans repay her by going on hiatus" and "BLINKs don't love Jisoo, only Jisoo stans do."
