She added that she taught about spreading the following information even though it was not true. She said that for defamation by false facts to be established promptly, it is necessary to know whether it is false or not.

Regarding the reason why the investigation agency decided not to appeal, she said, "The witnesses who state that the above facts are false are April members, directors, managers, former members, and choreography trainers. We decided that it was difficult to conclude that facts were false by collecting the suspect's statements and additional submitted data."

She continued, "My witnesses were judged to be related and not credible, but the suspect's referee acknowledged the credibility even though they were related to the suspect. The former choreography trainer has not been in contact with me since the practice in 2020, and rather, I have been in constant contact with Lee while conducting personal choreography lessons around January 2021. Because he is a more related reference to the suspect, there is no reason to make a more favorable statement. However, the investigative agency dismissed it as a person relevant only to the accuser."

In addition, Chaewon said, "Among the witnesses, Kim resigned as the manager in charge of April at the end of November 2015. He is a person who can objectively testify to the period of harassment claimed by the suspect, and Lee resigned before leaving the group. All of them had no contact with each other after that, but they were judged to be related only to me. In addition, the ex-manager who I presented as a reference and the manager in charge at the time did not investigate. However, the investigation agency did not proceed with the investigation and decided not to appeal."

She also claimed, "Lee said that the harassment started in 2014 and continued until 2016 when he left the team. However, April has been living in the dormitory since March 2015."

Finally, Chaewon said, "I'm looking forward to the truth being revealed. I tried to prove everything I could prove. I found it difficult to prove false facts. I will live proudly," he said.

On the other hand, while active since their debut in 2015, April stopped their activities last year after allegations of bullying within the team surfaced. After that, on January 28, the news of the disbandment was announced.
