BTS Suga Talks About His 3 Personas, Career
In December 2021, he sat down for an interview with GQ to discuss how much he has evolved over the years.
At the time, Suga was asked how he manages to keep himself calm through everything that's happening around him. He said that he usually takes a step back from it all. He said he likes to observe situations from a distance. This way, he wouldn't also be so emotional.
More specifically, he explained that he tends to look at situations from a third-person perspective. And this is something that has always worked for him.
When asked if there are things in his life that he's right about now but was wrong about before, BTS Suga admitted that there's a lot. He said he used to be so affected by the public's comments when they first debuted.
Suga also admitted that he used to be very sensitive to the public's comments and responses to BTS especially the ones that were malicious.
But he soon realized that he shouldn't get affected by the comments, especially since they came from people that he didn't know personally.
BTS Suga also talked about his two other personas outside of the K-pop group. He's also known as August D the solo artist and By Suga as the producer.
He explained that since all three are one and the same person, they take up one-third of himself. However, this doesn't mean that one person is more reflective of who he is in real life.
BTS Suga said that his three personas are an opportunity for people to decide how they want to see him at a given time.
