Brad Pitt World War Z Reviews: Actor Flies 2,000 Miles In 24 Hours To Surprise Fans Before Movie Release Date

World War Z lead actor Brad Pitt surprised moviegoers in four cities all over the U.S. during advance screenings of the Hollywood hunk’s zombie flick.

Pitt flew approximately 2,000 miles all over the country on Thursday, according to The MailOnline, from the Deep South to the East Coast to the Midwest to the Southwest, in order to surprise audiences at the special screenings.

The 49-year-old actor and husband of Angelina Jolie's first stop was in Atlanta at the Regal Atlantic Station Thursday morning.

Pitt then headed North to Pennsylvania to show up at a theatre at the King of Prussia mall, to the delight of the audience. He told the audience, “I just crushed a cheesesteak next door. It really is the perfect sandwich.”

His third stop was Chicago, where the star literally ran in to greet the fans, reports USA Today. Brad Pitt needed to bend over and catch his breath. He spoke to the delighted moviegoers saying, “Hope everyone had their business, got their snacks,” introducing the film, “cuz once this thing starts, it does not let up.”

A fan shouted, “I love you, Brad!”

He smile and told the amazed crowd, “It’s the most intense thing you’re gonna see all summer.”

Pitt concluded his four-city one-day tour in Austin with Harry Knowles of Aint It Cool News asking the star what he would do to keep Angelina Jolie and the kids safe during a zombie apocalypse (the storyline of World War Z).

Brad Pitt’s response, “Get the fastest car you can find. Cuz those are quick!” He then told Knowles, “Mr. Knowles, with your permission, let’s kick some zombie (butt).”

MailOnline reports that special screening tickets were given out in Houston, which could signal that the movie star is headed to that city next. If he appears at one of the theatres, it would be his fifth in a span of 24 hours.

World War Z is adapted from the book of the same name written by Max Brooks, son of director and writer Mel Brooks.

It was widely reported that the film’s production last year was inundated with production problems, script rewrites and reshoots, which delayed its release until summer.

The zombie war film opens nationwide on June 21.
