On Feb. 28, Pledis Entertainment announced that only two NU'EST members, Baekho and Minhyun, will renew their contracts with the agency, while JR, Ren, and Aron will leave the label after their contract expiration on March 14.

As a result, the boys and Pledis decided to disband NU'EST after 10 years since their debut in 2012. NU'EST is the first boy group ever to debut under the company.

To conclude their official activities as a group, they will release an album this month. Recently, a few of the details regarding it have been revealed.

On March 2, Pledis Entertainment took to social media to announce the title and release date of NU'EST's final album ahead of disbandment. Their upcoming work will be a compilation album titled "Needle & Bubble."

Reportedly, "Needle & Bubble" will contain the 10-year career of the quintet and will be filled with messages that the NU'EST members want to deliver directly to their fans, who are collectively called "LOVE."

Since this is going to be a best-of compilation album, the tracklist is drawing attention to what songs will be included. The group released numerous hits over the past 10 years including "FACE," "BET BET," "Love Me," and "Overcome" among others, so it is anticipated whether these tracks will be added.

NU'EST's "Needle & Bubble" is set to drop on March 15 at 6 p.m. KST.

NU'EST's Final Comeback Ahead of Disbandment

NU'EST made their last comeback as a group on April 19, 2021, when they released their second studio album, "Romanticize."

"Romanticize" features the title track "Inside Out" along with nine B-side songs like "Dress," "Don't Wanna Go," and "Black" among others. This 10-song album ranked first on Hanteo's weekly album sales chart and attained two crowns on the Gaon Chart.

Within the first week of release, a total of 191,831 copies of the studio album were recorded on the Hanteo Chart. This is the second-highest first-week sales in their career, following their first-week sales of 221,364 copies attained by "Happy Even After."

In the month of April, NU'EST's "Romanticize" sold a total of 2016,188 copies, becoming the third best-selling work in that month.

Meanwhile, the title song "Inside Out" earned the quintet four music show wins, particularly on "M! Countdown," "Music Bank," "Show! Music Core," and "Inkigayo." This marked the group's second music show grand slam since their song "Love Me" in 2019.

Concerning chart performances, the studio album debuted at No. 7 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart and ranked No. 1 in at least six different regions, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

As for "Inside Out," it landed at No. 51 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart. It was also charting on iTunes Song charts in various countries like Argentina, the Philippines, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and more.
