Debuting idol groups in the K-pop industry is never-ending. Thus, many idols would find themselves debuting not only once but twice, and sometimes even thrice, under new groups for various reasons.
Here are some artists who re-debuted under new musical acts following the disbandment of their initial groups or as part of their company's project.
10+ K-pop Idols Who Re-Debuted Following Disbandment of Initial Groups, Under Agency's Project
IVE Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin
Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin are well-known examples of K-pop idols who re-debuted under a new group. These two initially carried out activities as members of IZ*ONE.
After the project girl group disbanded, they returned to Starship Entertainment as trainees.

The two then start afresh as members of Starship's new girl group, IVE. The six-piece band debuted on Dec. 1, 2021, with their first single album "ELEVEN."
Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Hyoyeon; Red Velvet's Wendy and Seulgi; aespa's Karina and Winter
Next are the famous female K-pop idols from SM Entertainment. Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Hyoyeon; Red Velvet's Wendy and Seulgi; and aespa's Karina and Winter all debuted in the female unit GOT the beat under the company's "Girls On Top" project.
"Queen of K-pop" BoA is also part of GOT the beat. They debuted on Jan. 3 this year with their first digital single "Step Back."
So far, they are the only K-pop idols who re-debuted under new groups as part of their agency's project. (SuperM is not a project group, as per SM Entertainment).
VIVIZ SinB, Eunha, and Umji
SinB, Eunha, and Umji are also top examples of K-pop idols who re-debuted with new groups. These three are widely known to be former members of Source Music's first girl group, GFRIEND, which disbanded in May 2021.

Following disbandment, these three signed with Big Planet Made and debuted as the trio called VIVIZ on Feb. 9, 2022, with their first mini-album "Beam of Prism."
T.A.N Lee Jaejun and Seo Sunghyuk
Another project K-pop group that debuted this year is T.A.N, which was formed through MBC's survival show "Extreme Debut: Wild Idol." Among the members are Lee Jaejun, and Seo Sunghyuk who used to be part of separate K-pop groups.
While Jaejun first debuted with two idol groups: C-CLOWN and TREI, Sunghyuk was previously part of RAINZ.
All OMEGA X Members
Shockingly, all OMEGA X members are K-pop idols who re-debuted under a new group after their initial groups disbanded.
While Hangyeom came from Seven O'clock, Jaehan is from SPECTRUM, and OneVoices, Hwichan from LIMITLESS, Sebin from SNUPER, and Yechan from 1THE9.

Taedong is a previous member of the pre-debut group GIDONGDAE, while Xen and Jehyun are initially part of 1TEAM. Kevin, Junghoon, and Hyuk, on the other hand, all came from ENOi.
Kep1er Yeseo
Before her re-debut with Kep1er, Yeseo is known to be a former member of BUSTER, a girl group that debuted in 2017 and disbanded in 2020. Before all of these, she made her first debut in the K-pop scene back in 2010, when she was only five years old.
Kep1er Yeseo debuted in the kid girl group, called CutieL, under Big Star Entertainment. The seven-member band eventually ended its activities in 2017.
Bonus: Former X1 Lee Eunsang
Lee Eunsang was announced to be one of the members of Brand New Music's new boy group, YOUNITE. He previously debuted under the "Produce X 101" project group, X1, which disbanded in 2020.
YOUNITE is set for launch in the first half of 2022 and Eunsang is reportedly one of the vocalists.
