EXO Sehun To Reportedly Play the Male Lead Role in New School Romance Series + SM Entertainment Responds

EXO Sehun Reportedly in Talks for His First-Ever Male Lead Role in a New TVING Drama

On March 24, Sports Chosun reported that a representative from the entertainment industry told them that EXO Sehun will appear as one of the main characters in the TVING-original series titled "Love, High School" (tentative title).

The report also states that the new TVING drama will be written by Kang Bora and directed by Kim Jinseong. Additionally, this romance series is said to take place at Hara High School and is centered on two friends.

EXO Sehun reportedly received an offer for the male lead role of Yoo Go-eun, an 18-year-old boy and a sophomore who grows taller every day. He starts to play basketball because of his height and is told that he's a "genius" at this sport.

Yoo Go-eun doesn't focus on his grades much, but they're not that bad. However, ever since he received a kidney transplant from his best friend, named Jun Hee, he suddenly feel the urge to become the No. 1 student at his school. Also, he suddenly became rivals in love with Jun Hee over a girl named So Yeon.

A story focused on youth, friendship, cellular memory, and love, "Love, High School" is scheduled to begin filming sometime in April and will start airing in the second half of the year.

EXO Sehun took on the challenge of acting in "EXO Lives Next Door" back in 2015. He has since appeared in more dramas such as "Dokgo Rewind" in 2018 and "Now, We Are Breaking Up" in 2021. The idol-turned-actor even made his film debut on "The Pirates: Goblin Flag" this past January.

Shortly after the exclusive report came out, Sehun's agency SM Entertainment confirmed the news through Star News. The label said, "It is true that Sehun will appear as the main character in the new TV series 'Love, Do It'."

EXO's latest album contains a total of five songs including the title track, which is also called "Don't Fight the Feeling." To recall, this five-track album recorded 1.2 million pre-orders within 27 days. It went on to sell more than one million copies in just eight days after its release.

With over one million copies sold, "Don't Fight the Feeling" made EXO a sextuple million-seller.
