Where is IZ*ONE Now? Here are the Former Members' Activities a Year After Disbanding

It's almost been a full year since the "Produce 48" girl group IZ*ONE disbanded back on April 29, 2021, and millions of fans are missing them more and more each day. In fact, fans even tried launching the group once again a few months after their disbandment. Unfortunately, talks for IZ*ONE's re-launch failed.

Following the return of the members to their respective agencies, all of them now have their own careers. With that, here are the former members' current activities a year after their disbandment!

1. Kim Minju

Kim Minju

After returning to her agency Urban Works, Kim Minju decided to pursue a career in acting. There had been talks that the former IZ*ONE member was offered to join HYBE's new girl group. However, she declined it to focus on acting. Aside from acting, Kim Minju is also the MC for MBC's music program "Music Core."

2. Kang Hyewon

Kang Hyewon

Just like Kim Minju, Kang Hyewon also pursued a career in acting, and made her acting debut with the web series "Best Mistake: Season 3." As a singer, Kang Hyewon released a special winter album called "W" back in December 2021, with the lead single "Winter Poem." She also became a cast member for the variety program "How A Family is Made."

3. Jo Yuri

Jo Yuri

Several months after returning to her agency, Jo Yuri went on to become a solo artist and released her debut single "GLASSY" in October 2021, which features a title track of the same name. Aside from her music, she also hosted the show "Adola Travel Agency: Cheat-ing Trip," and is set to make her acting debut with "Mimicus" in the summer.

4. Kim Chaewon

Kim Chaewon

After departing from Woollim Entertainment, Kim Chaewon signed an exclusive contract with HYBE and Source Music, and is set to make her debut with the label's first girl group in nearly two decades called LE SSERAFIM. According to HYBE, the group will be debuting in May. Kim Chaewon will be serving as the leader.

5. Miyawaki Sakura

Miyawaki Sakura

After returning to her hometown in Japan and graduating from the Japanese girl group HKT48, Miyawaki Sakura returned to South Korea and signed an exclusive contract with HYBE and Source Music as well. She is also one of the members who will be making her debut in the upcoming girl group LE SSERAFIM, alongside Kim Chaewon.

6. Kwon Eunbi

Kwon Eunbi

Following IZ*ONE's disbandment, Kwon Eunbi became the first member to make her solo debut in August 2021, with her first mini-album "Open." More recently on April 4, Kwon Eunbi released her second mini-album "Color," which features the title track "Glitch."

7. Lee Chaeyeon

Lee Chaeyeon

After returning to her agency, Lee Chaeyeon competed on the Mnet dance survival program "Street Woman Fighter" back in August 2021 as part of the WANT crew. As of now, Lee Chaeyeon has been releasing dance videos on her social media.

8. Ahn Yujin

Ahn Yujin

Following her return to Starship Entertainment, Ahn Yujin went back to being a trainee and later made her re-debut with the agency's new girl group IVE, back in December 2021. The group recently made their comeback with their second single album "Love Dive" on April 5. Aside from that, she also participated in the reality how "Steel Troops 2."

9. Jang Wonyoung

Jang Wonyoung

Just like Ahn Yujin, Jang Wonyoung returned to Starship Entertainment and later debuted as an IVE member with their debut single album "Eleven." Since September 2021, Jang Wonyoung has been the MC for the KBS music program "Music Bank," alongside ENHYPEN's Sunghoon.

10. Choi Yena

Choi Yena

Choi Yena also decided to pursue a career as a solo artist. She made her debut with her single "SMILEY" back in January 2022. She also became a cast member on the variety shows "Idol Dictation Contest" and "Girls High School Mystery Class."

11. Yabuki Nako

Yabuki Nako

Yabuki Nako immediately returned to her hometown in Japan and resumed her activities with Japanese girl group HKT48. She later became the group's center for their second full album "Outstanding," and has since then been promoting with HKT48.

12. Honda Hitomi

Honda Hitomi

Just like the rest of the Japanese IZ*ONE members, Honda Hitomi also returned to Japan and officially joined AKB48's promotions once again. She was recently chosen as the center for AKB48's upcoming single, which is set to be released on May 18 local time. Aside from that, Honda Hitomi also launched her own cosmetic brand called NOTONE in October 2021.
