DKZ Multiples Their First-Week Sales 72 Times With "CHASE EPISODE 2. MAUM"
On April 12, DKZ (formerly known as DONGKIZ) dropped their sixth single album "CHASE EPISODE 2. MAUM." This is their first release under their new name and the debut of the three new members.

On April 18, the first-week sales of DKZ's "CHASE EPISODE 2. MAUM" officially ended, and the boy group achieved a surprising result.
"CHASE EPISODE 2. MAUM" impressively sold a total of 106,213 copies from April 12 to 18 - which is almost 72 times higher than their previous first-week sales record set by "Youniverse."
"Youniverse," which came out in April 2021, only sold 1,482 copies in the first week.
Within those seven days, the boy group sold more than 20,000 copies for four inconsecutive days, particularly on Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, and Day 7. The rest of the week had over 1,000 sales and 5,000 sales.

Prior to breaking their first-week sales record, DKZ has also beaten their best record for first-day sales.
This achievement shows the significant growth of DKZ's popularity following the success of the hit BL drama "Semantic Error" starring band member Jaechan (and Park Seo Ham).
And, because of Jaechan's appearance on "Semantic Error," DKZ's past songs (including "CRAZY NIGHT" and "LUPIN") climbed up the Korean music charts.

About Boy Group DKZ
DKZ originally debuted under the name DONGKIZ in April 2019, and the group only had five members at that time, namely Wondae, Munk, Kyoungyoon, Jaechan, and Jonghyeong.
Ahead of their debut, the boy group initiated promotional activities in August 2018. This includes busking and uploading dance covers to Dongyo Entertainment's YouTube channel.
The quintet also performed at the HEC Korea Concert in Thailand and Charity Concert. They even released a pre-debut single titled "Nom" in November 2018.
DONGKIZ's first comeback took place in November 2019 with their first mini-album "Dongky Town." In the same year, they received their first award, which is the Focus Award at the 2019 Asia Artist Awards.
The band continued to release more single albums in 2020 and 2021.
In March of this year, Dongyo Entertainment announced that Wondae will leave the group due to ongoing health problems. He has been on hiatus since August 2021 because of an injury.
His bandmate Munik has also been on a break due to psychological anxiety. But, unlike Wondae, he remained in the group.
Moreover, Dongyo Entertainment revealed that DONGKIZ will change its name to DKZ and will welcome three new members: Sehyeon, Giseok, and Mingyu.
To date, DKZ is the only artist under Dongyo Entertainment.
