'Pretty Little Liars' Season Four Spoilers: 'Time To Start Delivering Some Answers', Starting With The Queen Of Hearts

With season four of ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" set to premiere June 11, spoilers and rumors about the upcoming season has hit the web, including the season premiere titled "'A' is for A-l-i-v-e."

"It felt like it was time to start delivering some answers," show creator Marlene King said to The Hollywood Reporter during a recent interview.

"We've been hiding Easter eggs since season one and the pilot, and it felt like it was time to let the audience in on what we've been doing."

When asked whether the identity of the Queen of Hearts during the Halloween special will be revealed during the premiere, Marlene answered with a firm, "Yes!"

"We'll definitely answer the question of whether Alison was flying that plane, if she was the one who pulled the girls out of the fire [in the finale], if Alison's alive or if someone is posing as Alison with an Ali mask on. That's the big answer that we'll find out in season four."

Marlene also commented that on Mona's new dynamic with the "liars," it is partially "comical" yet "heartfelt."

"Mona and Hanna loved each other once. They were best friends, they needed each other and they helped each other. It's an emotional ride for them to decide where they're going from here."

Ashley Benson, who plays Hanna on "Pretty Little Liars," also admitted the tough journey her character has ahead with Mona.

"Hanna wants to trust her, but it's tough. Mona was her best friend, but she put Hanna through hell. She tries to tell the other girls good things about Mona and how she can help, but at the same time Hanna herself doubts it," she stated.

"So, she'll be nice to Mona because she needs to get information out of her, but, at the end of the day, Hanna doesn't want her in the group."

"'A' is for A-l-i-v-e" will also introduce several new elements to the already complex mythology of the show.

"There are a couple new characters who are introduced right away. There is a mystery character introduced in the premiere episode who I love. It's a new iconic image for us," continued King.

"Mona as sort of the fifth Pretty Little Liar is fun. We're excited to start sharing some answers and asking some new questions, too."
