Mad Men's Linda Cardellini Engaged; Don Draper’s Ex-Mistress Gets Propositioned

Linda Cardellini got engaged to her longtime love Steve Rodriguez on Thursday night. Linda Cardellini, who plays Don Draper’s neighbor and mistress on AMC’s “Madmen” told the panel of “The View” the happy news the next morning.

Linda Cardellini’s engagement came as a shock. The "Mad Men" actress said "I was surprised that it was happening at that moment."

Linda Cardellini’ longtime boyfriend Steven Rodriguez popped the question in front of a few of Linda's family and some friends. Maura Tierney, who co-starred with Cardinellini on "ER," revealed "We were actually with some of the people I love most: my sister, and my cousins and one of my best friends, Maura. We were sitting and he started getting choked up and then got on his knee. It was very beautiful."

The 37-year-old former "Freaks and Geeks" star confirmed, "We were actually with some of the people I love most: my sister, and my cousins and one of my best friends Maura [Tierney], and we were sitting, and he started getting choked up and then got on his knee. It was very beautiful."

Cardellini and Rodriguez are parents to a daughter, Lilah-Rose, who was born in February 2012.

After her appearance on “The View,” Friday, Cardinelli tweeted a picture of her engagement ring with the message, "My daughter Lilah Rose wants everyone to know that her mommy and daddy are getting married."

The romantic proposal happened in New York City. Cardinelli, whose current recurring role on "Mad Men" as Don's mistress Sylvia, posed the picture of the sparkly diamond ring, complete with a thin diamond-encrusted band on her 15-month-old's daughter's middle finger.
