Is Former (G)I-DLE Soojin Joining Big Planet Made? Here's What the Label Said
On May 11, Korean media outlet YTN released an exclusive report stating that Soojin, who is known as a former member of (G)I-DLE, decided to take her new path as an artist under Big Planet Made Entertainment.
Big Planet Made is currently home to several singers such as former SISTAR Soyou, former NU'EST Ren, VIVIZ, Huh Gak, Ha Sungwoon, Lee Mujin, Mighty Mouth, and Be'O. The label also manages actress Jo Soomin.

YTN added that former (G)I-DLE Soojin is expected to join these Korean stars at Big Planet Made and will start to expand her activities.
After the exclusive report was released, another Korean media outlet issued an article containing the response of Big Planet Made about the matter.
Joy News 24 reported that an official from BPM denied the news saying Soojin will not sign with the company. They clarified that they have never met the female idol.
Soojin has been inactive in the music scene since she went on a hiatus in March of last year due to the bullying controversy she was involved in a month before.

To recall, the former (G)I-DLE member was accused of bullying her middle school classmate, claiming that she slapped her classmate, took her money, had an argument over the phone, and more. Additional claims about Soojin being a bully were made afterward.
CUBE Entertainment confirmed the part where Soojin and her classmate argued over the phone but denied the other allegations. Soojin also personally spoke up to clarify the bullying rumors.
Soojin eventually left (G)I-DLE in August 2021 and her contract with CUBE was terminated in March this year. The label said that they tried to uncover the truth about the bullying controversy through a police investigation but the police found out that the accusers are not guilty.
Soojin's Last Activity as a (G)I-DLE Member
Before she was accused of bullying, Soojin participated in (G)I-DLE's comeback in January 2021 with their fourth EP "I Burn." This album marks her final activity as a member of the girl group.
"I Burn" consists of six total songs including the title track "HWAA," which band member Soyeon wrote and co-composed. "HWAA" and the mini-album became big hits for the group.

After it was released, (G)I-DLE's "HWAA" reached No. 1 on the real-time charts of major music sites in South Korea, such as Bugs and Genie. On MelOn's 24Hits chart, the song debuted at No. 98 and continued to climb up the rankings, peaking at No. 10 as of 6 p.m. KST on Jan. 12. "HWAA" also managed to grab high positions on FLO and NAVER VIBE.
On Jan. 13, (G)I-DLE's "I Burn" hit No. 1 on iTunes Album charts in a total of 51 countries across the globe, including the Netherlands, Russia, Canada, Finland, New Zealand, Italy, and more.
The mini-album also successfully debuted at No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart on the day of its release (Jan. 11).
