Other than that, the release of their new EP "GOT7" is also the septet's way to fulfill their promise to their fans, collectively called Ahgase or IGOT7.
BamBam finally said, "And we want to focus on our team promotions."
When asked why their new EP is self-titled, Jinyoung shared, "The reason our album is titled 'GOT7' is because this image is most like GOT7. We chose our title song with that in mind."
He added that the time they shine the most on stage is when the music they made was written by Jay B, so they thought that if they returned with music like that, they would be able to "show that this is GOT7's color."

About how the GOT7 members prepared for this album despite being under different agencies, they revealed that they frequently used video calls when they were apart.
Jinyoung said, "While preparing, I was reminded of our debut. We worked on this album feeling very nervous but excited, but since I was with my members, I was reminded of my early twenties."
Jay B commented, "Just the fact that we were able to release an album as GOT7 felt like a time of refresh, to not forget about our beginnings."
GOT7 Comeback 2022: Jay B Reveals How They Managed to Transfer Trademark Rights from JYP Entertainment
During the press conference, GOT7 confirmed that they had received all trademark rights for the team from their former company JYP Entertainment.
The group's leader Jay B shared that they were able to transfer all trademark rights not because that law had changed but because the agency's CEO Jung Wook gladly agreed to pass over the rights.
The "NANANA" singer continued that he revealed through a lawyer that there haven't been any cases where trademark rights were transferred on good terms. "So I want to thank Jin Young (JYP Entertainment's founder) and CEO Jung Wook once again," he said.

GOT7 Jay B further stated that he couldn't just leave the trademark rights to someone else, so he wanted to obtain them all. However, he had doubts, so he reached out to each member and went around to receive documents and seals.
"That's how I realized that it wasn't easy and I really felt that I had to be humble and grateful towards my agency," he concluded.
Like Jay B said, there have been no cases where trademark rights were transferred before, hence, this makes GOT7 the very first K-pop group in history to do so.
