Rumors That 'Produce 101' Will Return Surface - Here's Why
A tweet from April 2022 is garnering attention, as it appears to hint that "Produce 101" will be returning.
On April 3, 2022, South Korean Twitter user @Breeze_in_July shared a tweet that read, "What the? Don't tell me Produce is coming back?" The post includes a photo showing that "Produce 101" was registered again on February 21, 2022.
No logo was added to the trademark register, leading some to speculate that it will follow. Mnet has registered a trademark under the "Produce" name to signal a new season for the previous seasons.

Many people expressed anger at the possibility of a new "Produce" season. People are still angry over the vote-rigging scandal and believe that the show should be put to rest.

"Where did their shame go?"
"They have no other ways to revive flopped idols, that is why."
"Haven't they changed Produce to Girls Planet? They are also doing Boys Planet this year. I feel like they just wanted to keep the name."
"But won't it be fun? I don't care about the past controversies, and I actually hope they'd revive it."
"Are they insane?"
"I know it's your choice to like it or not, but I think it's wrong to think that the rigging wasn't bad. This broadcast destroyed the opportunities of several victims, and they even revealed who they wronged to the public..."
